A good weed barrier

I turned my backyard into a garden with lots of perennials, shrubs %26 a few trees. I created a path ( off center %26 a bit curved) going from the front of it to the back. The path is about 3-4ft. wide %26 30 ft. in length. First, I made a dirt path %26 covered it with this fabric ( I doubled it). Then, I generously put down cedar wood chips. Looks really great %26 stays dry. I add new chips each season %26 re-do the fabric about every 4 years. This fabric works very well.
