I bought the hanging planter for aesthetics, had I purchased for functionality I would have been more upse . They were smaller than expected, but I should have paid closer attention to size. They dont drain so they work best for artificial plants or air plants. The ropes did not come with any way to secure them to something beside attempting to tie them together, which made the ropes too short for where I had planned on hanging them.

I love these pots. I bought two and put some starter pothos in them. The only thing I wish they came with was a plastic draining pot that goes inside the ceramic pot so thought I could drain them when I water them
