it is surprisingly light and has a good shape. best advice i read in the recos was to only use low and medium heat to save the non-stick finish. never use high heat.

Fantastic frying pan... so glad I tried this pan!

I bought this pan with finger's crossed, hoping I wasn't wasting my money. It's been fantastic. Best non-stick frying pan I've ever owned! I've not been gentle with it, used metal utensils and I have a few scratches but nothing major. It cost more than I'm used to paying but, again, I'm glad I bought it! Now, to see how long it lives... most non-stop pans last about a year or two... so far so good!

Gotham Steel Excellent Choice

This pan is not only a good looking hammered pan. It is very large with a lid. I have the Rachel Ray set and it’s fine. But it’s really hard to find a pan. That is this large where you can do large meals in. I have cooked it twice and the handle on the lid does get hot. Also the handle on the outside where you pick it up a small handle. It gets extremely hot too. As far as the handle it stays fairly cool. But it’s far as cleanup and using it. I’m very glad I purchased this.

We just upgraded all of our cookware to the Hotham Steel Premium Triple-Coated Non-Stuck Hammered Copper set, and needed a larger skillet.

These are very good looking pans. Sadly, they have some real problems:

Poor packaging ruined this pan!

Very disappointed in this. I was excited about getting a pan of this size with a lid and a helper handle. It seemed to be just what I was looking for. It arrived two days ago with a dent in the metal rim of the lid. The handle on the inverted lid appears to have marred the cooking surface of the pan. This is all because the pan was packaged so poorly. The pan had a sort of thin cardboard band around it, and was jammed into a corrugated shipping box that it barely fit in. The only protective material in the box was a bit of bubble wrap on the end of the handle. A set of Gotham steel cookware that I had ordered arrived the same day. That set was securely packed in its own box and then packed in a brown shipping box. Those pans arrived undamaged.

[Rewarded Review] Now this is a niiiiiiiiice pan!!!!

I thought I had decent cookware until I saw this! It makes what I thought was decent look like absolute junk! Obviously, appearance isn’t what’s most important when it comes to pans, but this pan cooks well too. Unlike every other nonstick pan I’ve ever used, this gorgeous pan won’t scratch even if I use metal utensils!!! And I don’t have to use butter or oil with it which is HUGE for someone like me who is watching her calories. I have absolutely nothing but positive things to say about this pan EXCEPT that the box refers to this pan as, “lightweight” -it’s not. It’s a lot heavier than any pan I own. However, I like that it’s heavy … It’s very sturdy and it makes me feel like it’s even higher quality!!!

First of all it’s TRULY non-stick. I bought these pans because I was tired of scrubbing eggs off my other pans. Egg residue RINSES off with water. Cooked eggs slide right off onto the plate perfect . The pan also looks nice. Feels sturdy and heats up well. I love everything about it except for ONE THING... the cooking surface is not perfectly flat. It’s raised a tiny bit in the middle like a hump. It’s even, not like a defect or anything. But the outer edge circumference of the cooking surface is a tiny bit lower than the center which causes ingredients your cooking to run off slightly to the edges. I could see this being an issue if I had butter in the pan and wanted to cook a steak in it for example. Other than this minor inconvenience I really love it and I’m happy with the price/value!
