Very strong called manufacturer they said it would hold 250 pounds probably hold twice that. Edges are sharp need to filed smooth.

WASTE OF MONEY - horrible quality for the price
For this amount of money per bracket, I do not expect the finish to flake off with GENTLE installation. . . . . I'm embarrassed to admit, I got extremely upset at my contractor for ruining 3 out of 4 of these that I purchased for a set of exposed shelves. I demanded they purchase new ones and replace. So in front of me, they went to install the replacement they ordered. The finish flaked off so easily that I was SHOCKED. Don't waste your money!!!! The quality just isn't there.
