We are completely happy with our new Samarkand Aqua/gold 8'x10' ft hand knotted area rug. The colors are soft and neutral, and the pattern has the symmetry and design elements I wanted. The reasonable price and quick delivery made for the perfect choice.

Lovely but needs a bit of TLC

Beautiful hand crafted rug in muted (but not drab) sage/aqua and beige colors. The wool has a Berber quality to it but softer b/c it's actually 70% wool/30% cotton. I believe the Safavieh Samarkand collection is all like that. This is my second rug from this collection. I got it for my kids' computer/play room. Lucky little devils:) It's absolutely beautiful. It brings me joy every time I walk into that room. Like I posted before this particular type of rug sheds a bit for the first few weeks. It's needs frequent vacuuming for at least a couple of months and b/c it is hand knotted it will require some trimming of the loops here and there after vacuuming. But definitely worth the effort!
