This rug looks exactly as pictured. The pile is short, perfect for the living room I purchased it for. The color is lovely, the background is ivory and a very light gray while the patterned part is blue. The blue looks darker or lighter depending upon the time of day which I love. It is soft. It laid flat very quickly, but did have a strong smell for the first 24 hours. I'm very happy with this purchase and hope it holds up well.
