Love the look of this rug and the feel, but, when you vacuum it sheds like crazy!

Versatile quality rug

I must have tried out at least 25 rugs over the past several months--not that I'm too fussy but it was impossible to find something that worked nicely in my living room. The colors or sizing was off, or they were smelly or poor quality, or had creases that wouldn't go away, or a combination of those atrocities. It's hit-and-miss on finding just the right thing online especially if you're on a budget. But I FINALLY found the perfect rug. This beautiful black/creamy-ivory crosshatch 9'x12' wool rug arrived yesterday. Hate how large rugs are sent folded like a burrito but after one night the rug doesn't have a single crease or ripple, it's absolutely flat and has substantial weight. The pattern is subtle and works as a neutral for my white slipcovered sofa and walnut mcm furniture. Am sure it would work well with either modern or traditional styles. The wool is tightly woven and not fuzzy. I vacuumed it last night and again today and there was little-to-no shedding. It's thick enough to be comfortable to walk on but I plan on getting a carpet pad anyway to extend its life. Time will tell if it will hold up to my poodle's nails or occasional vomit :) By the way, this isn't a promotional review and I'm not being compensated.
