Gorgeous.. but sheds more than my golden retriever

Yall. This rug drives me insane. I love the look, the texture, and the soft feel. But I literally fill up an entire can of pink fur multiple times a day. I have had it 6 months. I don’t know how there’s any rug left at this point. I wish I never bought it. It also got two holes in it and unravels too easily. Save your money.

Great purchase- softest wool all natural rug

Easy purchase with good visual on space option. Fast delivery. THE SOFTEST wool- sometimes with natural wool rugs it feels rough… not the case. So soft. Nice tan color (can never find tans and browns in this gray decor color world we live in). One tiny bit of tough material (like straw) but it’s a natural made product and easy to remove. Rug pad also great.

The perfect neutral, textured rug. This is the 4th time I have purchased this rug. 4 diff sizes and for 3 diff homes/rooms. I have used them stand alone and as a nice soft base for layering. The latest an 8x11 the perfect size for layering under a 6x9.

Lovely wool rug, highly recommend. Holds up very well. Minimal shedding for first 4 or 5 vacuum runs.0

Excellent Choice and Amazing Quality!

This is by far my favorite rug from Rugs USA! I wanted a neutral color rug that would blend in with my homes asthetic and this was the perfect find. This rug is thick and the braided texture gives that extra layer of coziness that I was looking for. It had some shedding initially, but after vacuuming a few times, that has subsided. I am very very pleased with this rug and now I want the runners as well.

Doesn't hold up

I'm baffled by all these positive reviews. We had to throw this rug out after only 8 months. It does not vacuum well at all. We had it in our bedroom and have two dogs who are not allowed in the room but their fur still found its way to the rug by hitching a ride on our socks. The dog fur got interwoven in with the fibers of this rug and vacuuming it without the roller brush does not pull the hair out. And vacuuming the rug WITH the roller brush on completely destroys this rug by pulling out the fibers. The cream color quickly got stained and turned brownish in some areas. Again, no dogs are allowed on it and we never wore shoes on it. I'm so bummed. Might as well lit $400 on fire and watched it burn.

Painful to walk on, wonder if 5 star reviews are fake

I ordered this rug in anticipation of guests arriving tomorrow, and was so excited to have this elevate their room. I am surprised at all of the 5 stars for this rug. Yes, the color is accurate and it looks nice, but this carpet is far from comfortable, actually being quite painful to walk on. There are hard bits of material that stick out from the bottom of the rug to hold in the wool braids, and they painfully jab into the heel when you walk on it. Even after a day or so, this rug is horrible. Worst rug experience I have had. I am so disappointed that I wonder if these reviews were written by bots.

good rug BUT I dont recommend for kids room

I bought this rug for my son's nursery. I really like the style and how it looks in the room. It is good quality and had held up so far, however, I do not recommend for a kids room or any room where you plan to spend time sitting on the floor. It is VERY itchy to sit on and the material sheds and gets all over your clothes. Not ideal for sitting on the floor playing. If I would have known this I would have selected a different rug for his room.

Disappointing

I keep trying to love this rug because every time I come to leave a review and see the pictures on here, I still think it's so pretty. However, in person it just always looks dirty and matted. We ordered it back in Nov, but waited until we got our new couch to put it down, so I missed the return window, which is killing me. We've only had it down for a month and a half and it just looks terrible, it's my least favorite thing that I bought for our new home! It's in a low traffic area, we don't have kids or pets, we are a no shoe house and while I knew it would shed due to it being wool, it's the fact that it just looks matted and balled in areas, and the off white constantly has a dirty look to it that makes me absolutely hate this purchase.

Beautiful but Meh

I have had this rug for a few years now. It originally lived in my bedroom. My only problem then was that it sheds like crazy, constant tumble weeds and full vacuum cleaners. Now it lives in my living room, with much higher traffic. It has started to pill and look very cruddy. Disappointing but it is super soft so I should have known not to put it somewhere it will be walked on constantly.

Wanted to love it!

I am so sad to be writing this review. I knew it wasn’t a practical rug to buy for our son’s nursery but I saw so many good reviews and it was such a pretty rug. Unfortunately 3 months in and it is still shedding, is so dirty and is pulled and clumped. I scotch guarded it, made my husband take off his shoes, cleaned my dogs paws with wet wipes. I think this would be gorgeous under a bed or in a room without children or pets or high traffic.

Was so excited about this rug. But…

I bought this rug in October ‘23. I have had it for three months. I expected the shedding based on what I had read. What I did not expect was how hard it would be to keep clean without damaging the loops. It is only my husband and I that live here so there is not a lot of traffic across the rug. I have tried to spot clean several times and not only does it not come clean it makes the loops break apart and make holes and naturally shed more. It makes me wonder if I received a defective fabric rug. I would be more than willing to try another if I could exchange , as you can see, it is beautiful, but I’m just not happy with how it has held up for the price.

Worst Rug I have ever purchased. Shed city.

I've had this rug for about a year now and it is the worst shedding rug I have ever owned. I have vacuumed it everyday since I got it and nothing can stop the shedding. I recently purchased a carpet cleaner to try to clean it as it has gotten a bit darker as it's been a year in use and the shedding CLOGGED my heavy duty pet hair carpet cleaning vacuum. I am at a loss for words. It was not worth the amount that we paid for it. It sheds more than my labrador and he sheds a lot!

Came with stains and broken loops

We bought this rug about a week ago. When it arrived there were multiple broken loops, the sides of the carpet were pulling, and there were many stains across the carpet. While I understand each rug may have slightly different color variations, many of the brown or dirt colored stains looked like the rug had been previously owned. A few of the many photos taken below. The only reason it did not get shipped back was because it was too difficult to pack up alone. Instead of being the beautiful living room rug for showing off, it has now turned into the under the bed rug to ensure its blemishes stay hidden. Not worth the money, even on sale.

DISAPPOINTED REGRET BUYING!

I bought this rug a month ago and it already looks awful. I expected the shedding since it’s wool, but it gets EVERYWHERE! I vacuum it twice a day and my vacuum completely fills up with the fibers every time I vacuum. It is also not pet friendly. My dog’s toys are covered in wool constantly. The rug honestly looks trashed after a month. If you never walk on it, this is the rug for you. I followed all of the care instructions, and I’m just disappointed. I’ll add a picture from right after vacuuming it so you can see what the braiding looks like. I don’t ever write reviews but $600 for this is a joke.

Don’t Buy! Beautiful Mess!

I bought this rug last month. It’s beautiful online and initially beautiful in person, BUT it’s basically like having a wool cable-knit sweater as a rug. The dog dropped her bone on it, it stuck. The kids lay on it, they’re covered in cream fuzz. You run your hands along it, and can pick up fists of hairballs. Thankfully rugsusa permitted a return, but for a 10x13 rug it was $100+ for return shipping. Since the rug was $750, I thought the return was worth it. It’s tough to re-wrap a 10x13 rug though, and then ship via fedex. Regardless, when I saw the pics online and read the reviews, I thought it would be be really beautiful - it’s just not functional at all. Hope this helps!

Would Not Recommend

I bought this rug about a year and a half ago.

Ruined in 6 weeks! Do not buy.

I bought this rug 6 weeks ago mostly because the reviews were so good. Turns out the default drop down option is “highest to lowest” reviews so all I saw were good reviews. Very deceptive! This rug is ruined after 6 weeks. I’ve had 3 stains from my pets and the rug DOES NOT clean. I’ve tried everything including bleach, shout, carpet shampoos, and my spot bot vacuum. The stains just smear in the braids and don’t come out. Plus the wool gets tangled looking and looks terrible. The shedding is awful too. If you lay on it you will get the fibers all over your clothes. If you vacuum it, it will clog your vacuum. There is nothing good about this rug. I am throwing it in the trash.

Beautiful rug, but just hasn’t aged well

I bought this rug and put it in my bedroom about three years ago. It was beautiful and I loved the way it looked. But it has not held up well. Like others have said, it did shed very badly, but that resolved itself within a few months. It started to come unraveled on one of the edges, but I was able to sew it down. My biggest issue is the wear. It is fuzzy and has a sort of pilling on the high traffic areas. Also keep in mind it’s very difficult to clean. A carpet shampoo machine does not work well on it. Over all I’m pretty disappointed and would have chosen another rug if I had known what I know now.
