The color of this rug is not gold. It is beige. It has no shimmer to it and looks nothing like this photo.
Rug arrived promptly and was packaged well…easy to open and unfold. Quality product. I was a little disappointed in color which appears to be a lighter gold than shown in photos. Instead it appears to be more drab beige.
Would buy again!
This is a gorgeous, high quality rug. Lovely tuft and soft to walk on. I got another size for the same room. The color is a straw color, stylish and versatile.

Love this rug. GREAT quality! I mean really great!!! The color is wheat. It's thick and durable. Does NOT pill. Easy to clean

Beautiful wool, soft to touch and exquisite. Construction of rug seems excellent. Only negative is that its much darker than in the photos. Not really "ivory" but more "beige". We still love it. We looked long and hard to find a rug not made in the child-labor sweatshops of India with inhumane shearing processes and finally came upon this one made in Tibet with cruelty-free New Zealand wool (or we sure hope so) and NO LATEX. Love this rug. BUT, here's our UPDATE now that we've had this rug down for several months. All the above remains correct, and overall we still love this rug. BUT -- here's the BUT, low and behold, it is NOT -- that's NOT -- made in Tibet (China), but rather in India, according to the label on the back of the rug. Truth in advertising OUT THE WINDOW. Everytime we walk on it now, we think of the little children who worked on our rug for hours a day in a sweatshop. And, undoubtedly, it's also NOT New Zealand wool, but rather wool from India, sheered with cruelty from the sheep there. These animals are sheered using inhumane techniques that make them bleed (totally unnecessary) and thus the wool then needs to be bleached to get out the blood. NEVER, NEVER again we will buy a Savavieh rug. According to their advertisement, this rug was made in Tibet (China) using New Zealand wool. ANOTHER NEGATIVE: we purchased a 5' x 7.6' of this rug for our dining room and another larger one 8 x 10 for our living area. The larger one has spots in the rug with no knots, thus empty space, that can only be seen with careful inspection, but nonetheless, they are there, showing poor workmanship. Too bad, both rugs are really beautiful, soft, and look gorgeous on our walnut hardwood floors. But buyer beware. Now I know that anyone buying a rug needs to see it and look at it over and over and over again. I'm learned my lesson big time.

Beautiful rug! The rug is made of neutral shades of taupe and warm gray. Plus the geometric design creates a variation in the pile height that gives the rug a nice "under the foot" softness. The rug could easily fit into a modern decor or a mission/craftsman decor. It's well constructed with a sturdy backing. I am considering the 9x12 version of this rug because this 3x5 rug is so beautiful.

Gorgeous ivory color. Looks great in Master Bedroom
Very nice rug, but ultimately didn't work
When this rug arrived, I was pleased to see that it is a high quality hand-knotted rug. MUCH nicer than many of the tufted rugs out there. I was looking for a very specific color and this didn't quite match so I had to return it. Overstock made the return process painless, which is why I love Overstock!

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I choose the right size rug for my living room?
Aim for a rug that fits all the main furniture pieces on it or at least the front legs of sofas and chairs to anchor the space.
Can I layer rugs for added texture and interest?
Absolutely, layering rugs can add depth and dimension. Pair a larger, neutral rug with a smaller, patterned rug for the best effect.
What's the best way to clean and maintain my rug?
Vacuum regularly, spot clean spills immediately, and consider professional cleaning for deep stains or at least annually for high-traffic rugs.
How does rug size impact the balance of my living room?
A rug that extends the full length of the sofa can help balance the room. A small rug can make the sofa look disproportionately large.
What should I consider when positioning rugs in relation to doors and furniture?
Ensure the rug doesn't obstruct doorways or get caught on the doors. It should also not interfere with the operation of any cabinets or cupboards that open into the room.
Are there practical tips for maintaining rugs and prolonging their appearance?
Rotate your rugs annually to even out wear and fade, and address spills or flattening promptly to maintain their look and feel. For more substantial size or shape adjustments, consider having rugs cut and edged professionally.
What are some considerations for choosing a rug in relation to the sofa?
Select a rug large enough to cover the area beneath the entire sofa, which helps in unifying the space and balancing the room's proportions.
What is the recommended rug size for a living room with a sectional sofa?
The rug should not be shorter than the length of the sofa and should be wide enough to fit under all pieces of a sectional, or at least allow for the front legs to be on the rug.
Can I use a round rug with a rectangular table?
Generally, it's best to match the shape of the rug with the table. Therefore, avoid pairing a round rug with a rectangular table and vice versa for visual harmony.
