This rug is unraveling, losing threads and tufts.

the rug is beautiful and is perfect in the room... however, it is slowly unraveling. I read reviews about how it shed excessively, and thought, okay, I have a great vacuum, I can handle shedding. Well, after a few months, the rug is now shedding threads and tufts of material. It is already a lighter color in the area most used, and will probably be bare in those spots before a year is up. This purchase was a mistake.

Just don’t even bother

Terrible Quality - loose fibers all over the place which really stand out on such a shiny rug. The color is also nothing - absolutely nothing like the advertised picture. It’s not muted at all - more like a children rug with the color of a globe. If you’re into that then I’d recommend.

Beautiful Rug BUT Sheds Very Bad Both Wool/Viscose

This rug is even more beautiful in person and high quality than I expected from the picture. Very soft under your feet. The colors blend so well and soften the room bringing all the colors in my taupe colored room together...HOWEVER!!! After having it in our family room for a week, it never quit shedding both wool and the viscose fibers. I vacuumed it hard 3 times, thinking that would get rid of the shedding from the time of manufacturing. IT DID NOT!! I am so, so disappointed and have to start all over looking for a different rug. This one was perfect except for the BIG shedding issue. I have all wool rugs in my home, so I know what would be a normal shed...this is not!! Our clothes were so full of wool fibers and they wouldn't shake off the clothing. We thought our clothes were ruined! I am so, so sad!!!

This rug is a steal! And it's even more beautiful in person. What you can't see in the product images: the rug is made up of thin lines that alternate between a grey/blue wool looped (berber) pile and the various vivid colors of viscose cut pile. It gives it a very interesting texture and look. This rug hides my pets fur and I'm sure can easily hide stains, too. Shedding has been minimal so far (though I wouldn't roll around on it wearing black), and it was fully relaxed/flat within an hour of unrolling. The one possible downside: it is 8'9" wide rather than the 9' advertised. But lucky for me I needed a slightly narrower rug for the space.
