Beware- Nice looking but terrible odor!

This gray rug was sharp looking but had to be returned immediately. The rug was obviously packaged up wet at the manufacturer. It arrived in dry outer plastic bags that were secure, yet when I opened the package and unrolled the rug it was actually damp inside. It was actually wet at the inner most part of the roll and had a terrible mildew odor. Too bad as it would have added a nice modern touch to my office.

This may be filed under "user error" or "did not read the description," but I did not realize the rug was actual strips of leather woven together. It is a bit thicker than I anticipated, but it is handling the dirt very well. I assume I will not be able to just chuck it in the washing machine when I want to clean it. Again, my bad for not reading the description thoroughly.
