Love it!

Needed a new 10×14 area rug for a family room, but couldnt see paying $2-$4k. This was under $700. Not a lot of pattern, which I wanted. Liked the option I could return the rug to my local HD was a plus too, so I didn't have the hassle or expense in shipping it back if needed. Rated a 4 since the rug was “folded” instead of rolled when it was shipped and it has a slight crease in the rug I haven’t been able to remove yet. Hoping with vacuuming, it will change that.

The perfect rug! Nope--See edit

So sad to realize what I thought was the perfect rug isn't. The odor ended up bothering me to the point where I tried to use a carpet freshening powder. That didn't work--just made the room smell like the freshener instead, and then wore off. Eventually the smell subsided, but it seems ridiculous to have to worry so much about carpet odor--I am NOT a person who is worried about "off-gassing". The binding is weak and with vacuuming the little loose threads show on my hardwood. My robot vacuum has ruined the neat look of the sides of the rug, but I just clip off the loose threads and can live with it. I just hate how the rug sheds so that my Dyson vacuum fills up with lots of rug each time I vacuum. And I vacuum a lot! I have heard that in order to preserve wool rugs one should not use the beater brush on a vacuum, but I feel this considerably cuts down on the cleaning, so it's a Catch-22. I still like the rugs, but no longer love them. I am just tired of vacuuming and emptying a bin full of rug. On the plus side, the threads are light so they don't show on my travertine. I love this rug, so much so that I purchased it in a 9x12, 6x9, and 4x6. And now I am considering purchasing another one! It barely sheds, and the coloring is light, mainly neutral with light blue. It has cleaned up well from my dog accident and didn’t show a stain, which is super important to me. The largest ones did have an odor, but it’s not terrible (and I have purchased some rugs that reek)! It looks great on my hardwood floors and also goes well with my travertine tile. I love that it doesn’t have an obvious pattern.
