Sheds like crazy
The rug is thick and colorful but it has been shedding like crazy since I purchased it 4 months ago. I worry it will never stop shedding.
I love this rug. I actually bought two different sizes. The only complaint that I have is that they are a darker shade than the picture. Still beautiful though. I definitely recommend them.
Sheds horribly
I bought this rug 8 years ago for my son’s nursery. The good: it’s still bright and plush 8 years later. The bad: it sheds, soooo badly. 8 years after weekly (or more) vacuuming, professional shampooing multiple times, etc, if you lay down on it you will be covered in tiny fibers. My canister vacuum is filled every time I go over it. I would not rebuy it
Beautiful, high-quality rug
Very happy with this purchase - the colors are beautiful, the rug is well made. I've accidentally ordered polyester/polypro rugs in the past from various places, but they just can't hold up to wool. A wool rug we ordered 10 years ago still looks amazing, even with our 2 big dogs running around on it.
I bought this rug several years ago for my son's room. 3 more kids later, it's still held up well and still looks the same as when we got it. The first year, it did shed quite a bit and required a significant amount of vacuuming, but that was only an issue for the first few months. It cleans up well and is wool, so stains are fairly easy to remove. It's a nice thick rug that goes with most decor for children's rooms. We got the blue one, and now we have it in our playroom. It's a fun pattern and my kids like to play twister/hopscotch on the dots. It's not very soft (consistent with wool), but that's likely why it's so sturdy.
Oof, this rug is not what I expected based on the photos and other reviews. The entire outer edge was curled upward. I could forgive that and train it into shape if the colors were nice, but they are not. I don’t doubt that other folks received a rug with colors like the images because no one in their right mind would place my rug in a child’s room. I ordered this for my home office hoping for a splash of color. Every single color was misrepresented online. The green is very dark grayish-green, swampy. The blues are dark and dirty, as is the gray background. The whole thing is grim and grimy, and manufactured in a very low-quality wool with a scratchy texture. Seriously, it is nothing like the photos. If you’ve ever used/played with a digital color palette tool you’ll understand this: all the colors look as if the tone and light properties were cranked down toward their darkest, saddest versions. Bummer! I was really looking forward to receiving this rug but the search continues.
One of my favorite rug manufacturers. This one is a shedder though. The colors are true. The white looks a touch of cream. Fairly thick, placed in an office with chair mat on top, seems to hold well. Do have to vaccuum alot if you want it to look pure black background. Some wrinkles and curls upon arrival, but weigh them down and you have the one everyone talks about.
The rug is exactly as pictured, a somewhat whimsical pattern with vibrant cool colors. Like most new wool rugs, it does shed, but it also cleans up beautifully when vacuumed. I would not, however, necessarily recommend it for pet owners who have "fur kids" with grey fur, as it tends to turn the rug background grey and the polka dots "heathered" (learning this with personal experience). In terms of size, I find that it makes for an interesting small room focal point; the size, at least in my apartment, also helps distinguish the "living room" area from the "kitchen" area (terms I use extremely loosely). It arrived rapidly (a day early, I think), very well-packaged (like takes a while to free it from the packaging well-packaged).
This rug is gorgeous! The colors were perfect. It was delivered on time and in great condition. The rug is wool/wool blend. It is a nice rug. The only problem is the shedding. I have other wool rugs and I am aware it is common, but the issue with this rug is the different colored circles shed onto the black background and create a "dirty" look on the rug. My grandson (who is 8) noticed it straight away and commented on it. He asked for a vacuum cleaner to clean up the mess.
I bought two of these Safavieh wool rugs in addition to a long runner rug and I love these wool rugs. I bought them for sound insulation mostly and comfort under our feet. One of these rugs I bought specifically for the bathroom (away from the toilet). This is amazing under my feet while I stand and do my hair and makeup rather than a cheap hard floor. I love this rug, it’s perfect. If you need a rug, a wool rug is the way to go no matter what. It even helps trap heat in the winter and cold in the summer.
