We had this installed in our new shower and it looks and works great. We use it to control an overhead rain head shower and a wall mounted handheld shower. You use the upper diverter control to turn on each shower head separately or use both at the same time. I love the thermostatic control (lower knob); set the temperature once and you don't have to reset with every shower. I highly recommend this.

Installed for two years now (Jan 2014 to Jan 2016) and works perfectly. Always holds the same temperature and never have to adjust temp handle. Ibox rough-in makes it very easy to install. Valve is solid bronze and feels like it will last a lifetime. Handles are probably chrome plated bronze. Yes the escutcheon plate is plastic though so far has not scratched or shown any signs of wear. Water spots wipe off easily without abrasive cleaners. No signs of corrosion anywhere on the valve. Would definitely buy again. IF anything every goes wrong, the Ibox makes it very easy to replace without removing wall tile - just unbolt old and bolt in new valve.

Very good quality with beautiful design

We've put Hansgrohe Metris in my entire house, we're very glad we made this decision. The construction of all the pices, from rough/in-wall ones to outside are very well designed, enginered and executed. All water touching pieces and handles are made of heavy brass, very thick finish doesn't take off after heavy scratching and the design of the vales inside is made to last a lifetime. They are easy to install, well thought ways to trouble shout/replace if something is off, they are light years better than Moen or Delta. I had tub spout leking around the button, the customer support was very knoledgeable, nice and professional, they replaced the entire tubspout without any comments, they shipped it in a 3-4 days.

Contractor just finished installing our new guest shower. Jumped in to shower and was so pleased at the ease of this control. The small control is the diverter. We leave ours in the 9 o'clock position for a shower flow. Merely turn the larger control to the 3 o'clock position to turn on the water to the desired temperature. Very easy to use, stylish; the chrome is gorgeous against our new tiles. The chrome does get spotty. But the look of chrome is like a shiny new penny; but chrome in this case.

I wanted a contemporary valve that can operate 2 shower functions at the same time. This is it. Just set the bottom to the temperature you want and turn the top handle one way for one shower and the other way or the other or straight down for both.
