It arrived in an open box state. Although the product looks good, the front plate is made from plastic, so it has a cheap feel to it.

Beware- Matte Black will peel and chip after only 1 year

I purchased this as part of my master bathroom renovation and loved it up until recently. It has only been about 1 year and the matte black is already chipping and peeling back. I bought multiple items from this collection- shower arm, faucet drains and this valve and they are all chipping already. It is upsetting to think how much money I spent on what I thought were quality products and they are all peeling and chipping after only 1 year.

Great features and solid workmanship

Had my plumber install this as part of a minor bathroom upgrade. So far so good, Seems solid, well made, and hopefully long lasting. Simple clean aesthetics and design if that's what you are going for.

I received the Hansgrohe Locarno Thermostatic Trim with Volume Control for free for my review. I really love the design of this. However, it is very hard to switch to this shower volume control if you have a different brand already. But the ease and function of this is really good. And the durability seems good also.

Easy installation works perfectly!

This thermostatic trim with volume control and diverted has been great! We wanted something to allow us to have both a hand shower option and a wall mounted shower. If you already have the universal valve installed installing this is a breeze. It comes with easy step by step instructions with illustrations to allow you to do it yourself. Once installed it's easy to operate. The top lever controls the water and allows you to switch between what head you want it to go to. The bottom lever controls your water temperature. There is an added safety feature added in that only allows the water temperature to reach 100°. Some might not like that feature, but when you have kids it is nice incase they decide to pull / turn that lever too far while in the shower. The chrome finish is nice. We've had it installed for about a month now and it works great, zero complaints!

Very modern looking

This diverter is a very modern looking product. Looking at all the details you can see this product is not cheaply made and was thought through on the design front. Holding it in your hands it feels very beefy and like it's going to last a long time. Definitely a good upgrade to make a bathtub feel more modern.

It has an anti-scald feature so that temperatures can't get over 100 degrees. This is perfect for those such as children and a peace of mind for parents. The volume control allows for a flow of 6 GPM and is perfect for any shower. Great for water efficiency and looks stunning in my shower wih the polished chrome color. I would highly recommend this item to anyone for their shower!

We are slowly redoing our bathroom and our faucet set that we have has always been a pain and doesnt always stay. It was time to replace it so we decided to go with the following as the volume control is a plus as our water heats up really fast sometimes so the volume control allows us to control.the temperature a bit more.

A shower trim made with quality and thought

I needed a nice looking and durable shower trim that didn't require me to drill extra holes in my wall. The Locarno Thermostatic Trim with Volume Control face exactly fit what I needed. I love that the screw-free face plate that is made of a durable metal looking plastic that is resistant to corrosion, and mineral accumulation but still looks great. It matches and blends with the rest of my shower and my sink faucet. The metal face plate part I was replacing was terribly corroded and looked awful after just a few years of daily heat, moisture and humidity. It also has a limited manufacturer warranty that gives me peice of mind.
