I like it, but….

We just installed the fan yesterday, so I don’t have much experience with it… all I can say is that it looks great - it’s powerful (it almost sucks it’s own grates up on the highest setting) - but it only gets 4 stars because it’s LOUD. Much louder than any fan we’ve had before. Even on the lowest setting, it can be heard throughout the house. That’s a bummer.

I originally bought the wrong unit. Customer service was excellent. I returned it and purchased the correct exhaust. Entire transaction went smoothly. The new unit is beautiful and effective.

The range hood works great! We replaced an over the range microwave with this range hood. The install was a bit confusing but now that it’s in it works great! The lights are bright and the fan is powerful. It’s a little loud but you get what you pay for. I love how clean and seamless it looks. Overall great for the price.

The most powerful and effective range hood

I am thrilled with this range exhaust. I remodeled a home with no external exhaust, and had to vent this through the roof. This did require an HVAC company to complete the ducting. This unit performs great, and very quickly removes cooking odors, smoke and any other fumes in my kitchen. VERY powerful, even on low setting. The LED lighting is great too. The baffle/filter is very easy to remove and clean, as well. I highly recommend this product.

This range hood insert was so easy to install. We built our own custom hood and it was a breeze with this insert. It’s not quiet, but we didn’t expect that for a job well done. Our swamp cooler is much louder. The lighting is beautiful and it’s so easy to use. Plus it was so simple to convert to ductless. Really, we’re so happy!

Very good suction. Great lighting. The strongest suction draws in the vent cover as if it were cheaply built. The silver cover that you see is thin metal and sags slightly in the middle. It just isn’t stiff enough to hold itself flat. Working parts are EXCELLENT, visible parts seem cheap but GOOD.

No more Smoke detector problems

I love this vent. I have an older kitchen and have worked to keep the look. This range vent blends in so well no one knows it is there. It also works better than I expected. Smoke and grease are no longer a problem. I can cook a steak without the smoke detector going off.

Poor design and instructions

The instructions for the dimension on cutting the opening were not accurate. I cut my opening per the instructions and the flange with the screw holes barely had any wood to drill the screw into. Secondly, the cover plate only has 2 screws holding it up, 1 on each side, rather than 4. So, now the middle of the cover plate sags an 1/8”. I also had to use different screws to mount my cover plate because the ones provided were too small for the holes in the fan flange.

Looks nice and fits nicely in a standard wall cabinet. It delivered damaged, but Hauselane replaced damaged part, which is good.

Excellent Hood

This is a very stylish hood. We chose not to have it vented, and it works great. It really tied together our new kitchen. I've used the hood several times searing steaks with just the charcoal filters and didn't set off the smoke alarm! The integrated lighting is the perfect color temperature, around 5, 000K which is what we went with for the rest of our kitchen design. Install was relatively easy the directions were good, has not fallen down on anyone's head and I don't expect it to. The satin stainless is easy to clean, and we get many compliments on it from friends and family alike. If I was ever getting a kitchen I would highly recommend this model for price and value.

I love this hood. It looks modern and really opens up the space. It's a wonderful upgrade to what I previously had.

It fits!

Look no further if you want a range hood that doesn’t interrupt your upper cabinets! We’re so happy to have found this strong but slim profile hood. It’s just been installed in our 13 inch deep uppers… we haven’t taken off the protective sheet over the stainless steel yet, and there will be a panel flush with the cabinet fronts, but showing it without so people get a sense of how well it fits. Looking forward to using it!

Works Great!

We are very happy with our vent. We’ve been cooking without one for a couple of months due to a delay in the shipment. Now that it’s here, it makes such a difference in the heat generated by the cooktop. Even on low, we can feel the air blowing from the outdoor side of the vent. Great vent, and the low price is an added bonus!

IN-R100 In Cabinet Range Hood

Great range hood that snugly fit into the 30" wide cabinet above my stove. It's a very sleek inline clean look for my smallish kitchen and the fan works great. I did have quite a time finding the right person to install it, mostly because no one has every seen or worked with an in-cabinet range hood. I actually had one appliance installer yell at me for buying this.....lol. But eventually we found the right guy who knew how to cut the cabinet and connect it to my existing venting to the outside wall. Look for a kitchen contractor or a Heating & A/C installer who know about duct work. One suggestion to Hauslane is to add a high and low setting for the light, but that's a minor ask. It's great high quality stainless steel hood for an exceptional value.

Looks and works great.

For my 'ductless' installation, I ran the exhaust into a basement stairwell - versus into the cabinet above the stove. The depth of the install was a little tight within a standard 12" deep upper cabinet. I installed a 3/4" cherry frame (to match the cabinets), on the bottom of the cabinet after removing the 'floor' of the upper cabinet - tor provide an even mounting surface for the fan flange. Be aware that the unit does not come with the carbon filters that are required for the ductless installation. I ordered a pair of filters from the manufacturer and I ordered some bulk carbon filter media to make my own - after I see what the manufacturer provides. At 600 CFM, I expected it to be a little on the loud side... It does not disappoint. At the low setting, which I think we will use most of the time, it is acceptable level of noise. I like the clean look of the unit and the removable, stainless steel, dishwasher safe vent cover. The LED lights are mounted towards the front of the unit which provides good work light on the stove surface. Wish they had one on the back side to 'wash' the backsplash with some more light. Bottom line: Pleased with the purchase.

Retrofit Installation - Moves lots of air

This was a retrofit replacing an old cheap Broan that builder installed. Took a bit of carpentry and re-routing the ductwork, but looks great. This fan pulls plenty of air through dual centrifugal fans, so there is air noise but not much motor noise. Overall very happy, Good quality, and very good performance for the price.
