This was supposed to be quiet but it is much louder than expected, and louder than our previous unit. Even on the lowest setting it is hard to have a conversation with anyone in the room. Aside from that, the materials and control panels (both sides) seem to work well, the LED lights haven't needed to be replaced, and the metal vent grates are dishwasher safe and haven't rusted. For what we paid though, we're still disappointed with how loud this is.

Bad Quality Labeling on Product Surface

Cleaned the front of the unit below the buttons and left side where the name Hauslane is and the paint came off. This was not a harsh cleaning product. So, now we have to memorize what the buttons do, because the symbols are now gone. Cheap paint job from China unfortunately. Other unfortunate item with this order is that Home Depot sent an email and they cannot recommend a Pro installer to assist. You have to find a General Contractor not an electrician to install.

Solid hood

Nice and easy to change out filters. Kind of a hassel to install if you havnt done it before. Once its up, its nice to look at.

Looks great. No problem receiving it or having it installed.

I find the range hood to be quite loud. Esthetically pleasing. Works ok. Nothing spectacular.

Great Looking Range Hood

Hood works very well. Have been using it now for over 6 months and very happy. It looks great and getting lots of complements. A valued purchase for the price.

Beautiful island hood vent, just difficult to install for new construction and first time installers.

The directions were not very good for new construction and first time installers. We struggled to install and kept looking for videos to help.

Beautiful but too loud

This is so perfect for my kitchen, but wonder how much I will ever use the fan. The low and medium are hardly less noisy than the high setting.

This range hood took care most of my kitchen problem and the price is very reasonable.

Worth IT!

After looking at many other brands around the price range we settled on this unit. It came with 6" adapter which fit my existing setup from my previous vent hood. LEDs tend to be on the yellowish color I swapped those out very easily to these bright white ones that I found on amazon to match my kitchen light.

No more false Fire Alarms!

Love this range hood. Shopped around many places by far was the most economical yet efficient hood on the market. The suction power to price ratio a bit exceeded our expectations. Our fire alarm has not gone off again in even the deep frying bacon/ smokiest salmon/ seared steak scenarios.

Take care of my cooking problems

Before we install this range hood, cooking smoke has always been a problem for us, especially for an Asian family that cooks everyday. I am happy that we installed this Hauslane island range hood.
