not for free standing umbrellas
The quality and appearance of this are quite fine, but I would not recommend for free standing use. Probably better as an under-table base. Even using a lightweight umbrella, this stand tips too easily in the slightest breeze. Among other issues: the bottom bolt loosens with exposure to daily temperature swings, and the top plastic ring doesn't stay in place.
Very large and heavy, great for a large table and umbrella. Very nice.
Missing Tightening Screw Knob
Thoroughly disgusted! How can you ship a $50+ umbrella stand without a tightening knob?!
