Lid is loose on wobbly trash can

The trash can pop up lid works as expected, but the lid itself sits loosely on top of the can. It has 2 notches to hold onto the can only on the side where the pop up button is. The other sides have no notches to hold the lid in place. The bottom of the trash can is curved outward in shape which causes it to wobble. Combined with the loose lid, one light push could topple the trash can and make a mess on the floor.

Best Tall Kitchen Garbage Can

Best Tall garbage can! No "rolling" top to get filthy when you put garbage in. Quick easy release and closure. All garbage wipes right off, no staining even with beets, coffee etc... Yes you have to push a button instead of use your foot, but every foot release I have found breaks in no time. The only reason I bought a new one after 10 years because my son stepped on the lid and broke the tab otherwise my last one was still in perfect shape and still white with no stains. I can only hope this one remains as good as the last but so far so good.

Great trash can - do not hesitate!

I have very limited space in the kitchen for a trash can, so when I moved here recently I purchased a small can that hangs over a cabinet door. I live alone but found myself changing the trash bags often because they are so small. Purchased this Hefty can and I am so happy! The top of the can is very secure even though it doesn't lock on. I'm able to use 13 gallon trash bags - I am extremely happy with this purchase.

Our home has an all white kitchen (not my choice as we lost our home after Ian but it is pretty, has some black appliances and some white ones. I needed a slim white pail to blend in next to a row of sinks and cabinets. I also like to use hefty scented bags for garbage even though more costly. Well this pail is made by Hefty so bag fits beautifully. I then decided to get another 1 for recyclable -family drinks lots of bubbly water from cans.I got another white one and put on other end of kitchen which I use cheaper bags for that still fit.

Flimsy Lid Lock Fails "Quickly " !!!

Shameful ways this Company does its Customers !!! "8" of these had latch failures within "6" months. This is lack of Quality in Design and they been aware of this ,,, but still make it with Flimsy latch. However , Ive have a fix thst has worked Perfectly over "6" months and going strong. Just take a piece of Gorilla Duct tape and Attach as Shown in Photo. its Shameful a large Company keeps Failing and dont Care !!! At least as a Consumer can improve,,,,, where thier Quality Control, Engineers?, and Customer Service is so Lacking !!!

A great can for the price point!

This is my first lidded can (that I’ve kept the lid on) and overall I love it. I gave it 5 stars because it’s a great product. It’s very affordable for a name brand, durable, lidded can that pops open with a push mechanism. It keeps the trash out of sight/out of mind which I love, because our trash sits literally in the walkway in our 1962 ranch. Having a functional lidded can makes me happy. Not seeing our trash 24/7 makes me even happier.

Really works! Great Customer Service!!

I have slightly different model of the Hefty 13 gallon Odor Control Touch Lid in black. The trash can is great and really does lock in the odors when the lid is closed. The one weak spot, however, is a small grey release handle that opens and locks the cover - it broke very easily, making the can unable to keep closed. Customer service was awesome! I emailed them about the problem inquiring whether a replacement handle was available. They didn't email me back, but less than a week later, I received 2 replacement handles - shipped free of charge. The handle snaps into place - easy to install. I really appreciate that they stand behind their products and I didn't have to go out a buy another trash can. Thanks HMS!

Best bang for your buck for a 2 pack!

This is the cheapest and best trash cans you can get for the price! I have been looking all over for cheap but reliable bins and these are perfect. I was almost tempted to get a 2 pack on Amazon for $50 and thought that was cheap until I decided to check Walmart and Target last minute to compare prices. This is the perfect size that can store trash/recycle or whatever your use of them would be. For me, I was able to put them in the corner of my apartment as the black matched my appliances and layout perfectly. There were 3 left in stock and as soon as I placed my order they were sold out! If you have the chance when they come back in stock you should definitely get these. There are plenty of fancy and touch- less ones that are cool and useful but if you need basic trash cans these are definitely the best on the market for your buck. Also, shipping was super fast and got them in less than 3 days after ordering!

Bigger Than Expected, But Didn't Love the Lid

So, I've had a round swing-top (bullet-shaped) trash can for decades... if it ain't broke, don't fix it, right?

V surprise Due2 usually neg reviews of DAMAGE cans

I was almost freaked out maybe not the best word, but normally when garbage cans are shipped many reviewers say there were dents and just overall damages reported. Wal-Mart packer did a good job excellent job. I believe there were 2 items no more than 3 items in the box, but I was just in awe how all safely clean neatly arrived to me. I have 3 of these garbage cans. I hadn't intended to. The last 2 were ordered closer together overall. I have a certain way that makes or breaks my day. One of these have long been used as a secondary garbage can in my kitchen. I have 1 in another room due to use to be a catalog shopper pulled pages and then tried keeping (end results ) are that q each are in a bedroom until I can sort rid and organize what I want to keep and or what need to be discarded. I didn't forsee buying a black one same brand type just will color differentiate. I have a number of cleaning and tasks that the products supplies will be using want to keep these altogether within reach. Organize keep things categorically easy throughout the home. For the price these are nice. Wide opening at top. Use the garbage can more than my primary kitchen garbage can which is stainless steel with dual compartments.
