Beautiful rug. It looks great in my kitchen and fits the area perfectly. The colors and incredibly vibrant and the rug itself is very hefty. You can tell the fabric is of good quality as soon as you unwrap it. Pro tip: put some ice cubes on each of the four corners to affix it to the floor quicker!

Solid rug, don't buy the overprices pads

I got two of these in 4x6 for a bedroom and they're totally solid. They look exactly like the photos. The two stars off is for the rug pads that I unthinkingly purchased. At $75 each, they were almost half the price of these rugs when on sale and came in a larger size, which meant they needed to be cut down. That's an objectively miserable job I avoided for days, and it didn't have to happen since 4x6 rug pads do exist.

I love the two runners of this design that I bought. The size and colors were as pictured and described. The color was especially important to me since I have several art pieces that I wanted the rugs to match.They look great in my hallways.

Really happy with this rug. Colors are definitely rust/orange with some teal, not red as others have mentioned too. Just what we were looking for. Arrived quickly, is nicely made and soft underfoot. Perfecto!

The only problem I encountered

The only problem I encountered was with shedding. I followed the instructions regarding vacuuming and my vacuum became so clogged with the fibers that it broke. Hopefully, the shedding will lessen soon. Also, the color is not really what most people would consider red. It is quite muted, BUT, this results in the rug actually appearing to be a real oriental rug and that is a good thing!

Very nice Safavieh rug

I bought a six-foot by two-foot three-inch runner. I placed it in front of a dresser on a wood floor. It looks great. This particular pattern is more bold and less busy than many oriental rugs. I recently bought two other Safavieh rugs of varying sizes. I am pleased with all of them, and I trust the brand.

This rug is beeeeeeeeeautiful! Like really stunning. Thick, feels great on the feet. Colors are best described as rust, steel blue, camel and brown. (Definitely less red than the description stated but I looked through all the images before purchasing and was expecting those colors.) Would highly recommend.

Winner

I purchased this rug for my dining room. It arrived without a delay and it was very well packed and protected. The rug fits perfectly, it is soft and warm, and its colors scheme fits very well with my dining room oak furniture. There is some shedding, but it was resolved with a good vacuum cleaning. My experience with the wool rugs in the past has been that shedding usually last for the first few months, but gradually decreases. I am very satisfied with this product and highly recommend it.

Beautiful but...

The rug is beautiful and thick. I ordered two. A runner and a 4x6. My only complaint is the colors in the runner are much different - and more muted than the 4x6. I looked and both labels say the same thing. Heritage 404A Red Multi. It's ok for my use, but if ordering two, I would be wary. See photo of the different colors.

My rug arrived sooner than I expected which was nice since I was ready for it. The instructions said not to rip off the plastic covering down the length of the roll in case I needed to return it for some reason. Rather, open the end of the roll so I did. At first I hesitated after I peeled back the plastic end and saw that the rug was not the expected color red at all. So I thought about it and decided the rust color would be alright for me. I was immediately happy with the quality of the rug and it is truly vibrant which I like. I did locate a couple of hard quarter size globs (glue?) at the base of the rug that I couldn't see but can feel when I walk over it. Not happy about that but I thought that since it needs a pad under it anyway (saltillo floor) maybe those areas would be less noticeable. The rug is a nice heavy weight and adds warmth to the room which was my intent. Still waiting for the pad.

Pretty But Still Sheds After a Year

While it is a pretty rug, I've had it for a year and it still sheds badly. It is well-made otherwise. I got both the 4x6 and the short runner and they matched in color. I only mention that because I have bought other rug sets where one piece looks different than the other, and that's irritating because return shipping on rugs is unreasonable.

It looks dark red on line, but it is not dark red. It's like a orange hue with red. If it was darker it would be awesome. The design on the carpet does not stand out, dull yellow and white. If it was lighter in weight I would of sent it back. I used it for the guest room, however I defiantly did not get any compliments!

It brought my room together.

I am soooo happy with my new rug. The colors are as I hoped. I know that is always a gamble. I am always happy with Safavieh rugs. They are high quality. The rug lays down solidly on the floor. One of my friends wants to buy the very same rug because she loves the colors and the design so much. Luckily, we don't have the same friends, so no one would be the wiser. haha

Excellent Quality Wool Rug!

Really nice wool rug with thick nap and nice heavy fabric backing. I've had this for months now and it looks perfect. It arrived rolled up in thick plastic, laid flat immediately, and has been great ever since. Soft underfoot, no funny smell, no bad shedding - just a great quality rug. I really like this one - not your typical Safavieh wool rug pattern.

Change review to 1 star - falling apart

Change from 5 stars to 1STAR! Shedding is normal but small tufts of yarn coming out to the point of creating holes is not. Rug is under seldom used dining table so NO EXCUSE. See pictures. Very disappointed with both maker and Overstock. Inferior product. Very happy with rug, especially for price. Feels good walking on. Yes, it does shed but have had other rugs from this maker and it does subside with time and vacuuming. Color much more muted than picture, especially with white yarn showing through especially on main color but I am very picky, but still good looking. Had the price not been so awesome would have given 4 stars for color not being as saturated as pictured

Great price. A couple of issues.

We like the rug. It's a great price. 3 stars because colors of some elements are quite different and the darker red end panels are different on the rug we received. On one end the panel is more muted and on the other end it doesn't exist. It's in a hallway so we can live with it. The quality of the materials are good. Perhaps a mass produced rug varies. I don't know. The colors pop in direct light but are otherwise muted.

Absolutely in love with this rug. The colors are warm and can be paired up with traditional, modern, or eclectic styles. Room color isn't really an issue either. The quality though is what I was after. I have bought the brand for many years, adding to my collection of rugs. This was perfect to put into my 4 season porch which is almost complete.

Very pleased with this rug. It is thick and beautifully made. The main color is a slightly muted (burnt) orange. It was also delivered very quickly. Mine is in a lower traffic area so no shedding yet, but I know I can expect some of that with a new rug. Doesn't have a strong smell of new carpet either. I would buy this again. I got it for 30% of the price one would normally expect to pay for the quality. Very pleased.

I accidentally purchased the wrong runner and tried to stop it from coming but was too late. Who can return something without even looking at it? Not me! And I'm so happy I peeked. It's an absolutely beautiful rug, extremely well-made, thick and heavy, the colors were true to pictures. It's a keeper! I can't believe how much product we got for the price.
