Pleasantly surprised!

I received it unexpectedly FAST! Upon placing in living room I was surprised by the thickness. Colors and patterns are vibrant. Online pictures don't do it justice. Only 4 stars because everytime I vacuum I have to empty canister because it's full of carpet fibers. I don't know if it's going to wear thin or hopefully it'll stop!! All in all I'm happy with it. If looking for a change & want something that looks chic but cheap, this is definitely the one!!

I absolutely love this floor rug. It is soft under the feet and has a nice thickness to the feel. Not entirely what one would expect from wool. The colors are perfect for the room, too. The best thing about Safavieh rugs is that they last a long time and don't wear down over time like so many others do. And you can't beat the price.

Just what I wanted

Very pleased with the two runners that I purchased. The colors were true to the pictures and description. They have enough weight to handle my family and large dog without shifting in the hallway. Due to the nature of wool there is a slight variability in the cream color but it is not noticeable on the floor.

Perfect fit in our hallway and is a perfect match to our previous purchase of the circular 3’ 6”. Savavieh Heritage. Nice, attractive, and durable construction. Easy to clean ! Thanks Houzz for another great product. “Rik”.

We love our rug, so soft. Read about shedding, as all wool rugs do. First two or three weeks it did but after vacuuming once, it hasn’t been bad at all. One needs to remember to vacuum without the beater, but as you would a bare floor. Colors are also very vibrant. Our cats & grandkids love to lay on it as so soft.

Rugs are beautiful but one different

Whenever I need area rugs, i go directly to Overstock and check out the Safavieh Heritage collection. The rugs are beautiful, they are thick and wear very well. I ordered Kassandra 7’6” by 9’6” in the red and ivory. Just beautiful. Also got a runner and a small rug for a little hall. Then I ordered a 10’ foot runner in the hall. It arrived, I unpacked it, put it in the hall. Next morning when I went to admire my beautiful rugs, I noticed that the beautiful blue color on the 10’ runner is gold. Same rug, one is different. I know I can exchange but what if it comes to me good again? Decided to keep but I am a bit disappointed. So 4 stars.

This rug is so different from the picture. The rug that we got today is so darn dark and not like the one in the picture here on their websites. It looks like it's been photoshop to make the rug lighter. The medallion in the middle in this picture is lighter. The medallion in the rug that arrives today is more of a brownish color. All the beige color showing in this picture is not like that in person. It's more of a lighter brown instead of a beige color. When I try to return it, they're asking me $*** to return the darn rug unless I join their "CLUB O" membership for $***. What a ransom that is. Very disappointed. DO NOT BUY THIS RUG.

We replaced a similar rug with this one. Both were by Safvieh and are heavy, quality products. Very soft underfoot, and hasn't shed much. Look carefully at the lighter colors of the rug in the picture. The edge-part is a light green shade. The center is tan. It worked for our color scheme, but it is not all NOT tan, as the picture seems to show with a quick glance.

The colors in this rug are true to the photo. One reviewer thought the color was almost Navy, I disagree. I put this rug in a living/sitting room which doesn't get used often. It is beautiful, and sheds (to be expected, its all wool) but I've had it less than a month. I am considering moving it to my dining room. Not quite ready to start looking for a new rug again, it took me two months to choose this and two others for my family room! I highly recommend this rug and the purchase! I will most definitely purchase from Overstocks again.

I waited a few months to give this review because I wanted to make sure to provide buyers with useful information. I love this rug. The colors of this rug are vibrant and the thickness is perfect, no need to put anything underneath as it stays flat and does not move even in carpet. Ours came well protected in a doubled thick plastic wrapping. Within 24 hours it laid flat on the floor. We put ours in a busy area and we did not have any problem of it shedding. Vacuum once or twice a week and it is stay beautiful.
