Pretty Rugs

I like everything about these rugs, except they are false advertising the sizes. Ordered 2x6 runners...they are NOT 2x6, they are 2x5. Other than that, I love them.

Pretty & soft. BUT poorly made!

I was excited to get this rug for my front entryway. I got it, and it looked just the way I hoped it would. It is very soft. I gave it one star for these reasons. Upon looking closer, it had several loose strings/threads, which started to unravel after two days on the floor. The long threads were too tempting to our 5 month old puppy, which grabbed two and unraveled it even more. Because of this, I can't take it back and am out the $ I paid for the rug, that I will have to replace! Not Happy!

do not buy if you have pets with claws

I've had this rug for 9 months. do not buy it if you have pets with claws, because the loops pull up easily. also, the vacuum will catch on these loops and pull out wide stripes of yarn. this thing is a piece of junk. The yarn has also not held up well, it's matted where my husband puts his feet when he sits on the couch.

Maples Trellis Rug- Perfect for entryway

Nice rug. I ordered 2 as we have a hallway coming off the garage that is narrow. With 2 rugs, it eliminates the constant cleaning the floor -sweeping and mopping-this way we can use the dust buster until our weekly cleaning. They yarn is soft so be careful with velcro items that might drop. I had to trim some loops and felt luck the rug didn't come apart.

Looks great, but . . .

I really liked this rug, which I put in my laundry room entry door. But in 5 months it has started coming apart! I’m going to try to use E6000 cement on that place and hope I can get a few more month’s wear. Now that we’re into winter here, it will need to be laundered more often.

Good washable throw rugs

Kohls has always had a good selection of small washable throw rugs that I use for my kitchen sink and mudroom entry areas. I bought these to replace a prior version that have become worn after 4 years. These new ones are fine. They are not really plush so you may not be happy with these as larger area rugs. Some of the stitching on the ends isn't perfect, and they may come tightly rolled, which means you need to reverse roll them for a while in order to get the tight curl out so they will sit flat. The taupe color is on the grayer side, and the cafe color is a light toast--both good neutrals.

Terrible quality -cannot vacuum- snags easily

Very disappointed. Rugs are pretty but have terrible quality. You cannot vacuum them without them constantly snagging each time. I’ve tried every setting on the vacuum with the same results. Even the setting with the least suction power and carpet setting still cause snags. You constantly have to move the vacuum. Cannot even let it sit still for a second. To fix the snags you either have to cut them and leave a bare spot or try to glue the snags back down the rug. I’ve attached photos and these are only from one time vacuuming. I’ve purchase three different sizes in September to match in my house and now I’m to the point where I’m fed up and want to replace them. Waste of money for us. Hope everyone else has better luck.

Disappointed

I have already returned 2 5x7 And a runner. These items are teal in color but after you vacuum them the loops which are supposed to be low Loop pull up. Then white shows through all the teal coloring. I have also sent a picture of my 8 x 10 gray carpet showing it is pulling up after vacuumed. Very disappointed in this product. I have received replacements for these carpets but like I said now I’m seeing in my gray carpet’s they are pulling up also from vacuuming. I do not have much faith in my teal replacement because I believe the problem will just keep happening.

Ok so, I was nervous buying cheaper drugs off of walmart.com. My husband and I just bought a house and having a baby so, were on a budget and ive been searching for a long time for something that is cheap but big enough and would look good. I've read reviews of the rugs on walmart.com being nothing like they were pictured or described. Well either I got lucky with these rugs or they're just that good. They folded out super easy and laid completely flat on the first try. I'm 32 weeks pregnant and managed to put my dining table on top of the area rug so it wasnt too difficult to maneuver and slide. The colors are exactly as expected and the runners don't seem to slide when walking on it. For a 7x10 area rug and 2 2.6x10 runners for only $120 and was shipped and delivered in only 2 days, heck yes what a deal! Buy it, you won't be disappinted!!

Looks exactly like the picture, maybe even better!

The picture is exactly what the rug looks like. It's a beautiful turquoise color. I have the matching runner and two smaller rugs and replaced the 5X7 because after five years it needed to go. I gave it four stars because it has a very strong odor that took three days with the windows open and my automatic air fresheners on 15minute sprays to stop smelling that strong smell. This size rug can only be spot cleaned and/or carpet cleaned, which is a draw back, but it is so pretty and the matching runner and two smaller rugs can be put in the washer and dryer. I researched the price and Walmart beat all prices by a lot! Once you get the smell out, you will not be disappointed.

CHEAP

VERY cheaply made. It looked really nice when I first laid it out, nice pattern and color...and it matched my curtains. After a couple of weeks of light traffic, it started to unravel in places. And forget about vacuuming it, even on a high carpet setting! It'll ruin it! I had to sweep the carpets and I was constantly cutting away unravelled strings. Less than 8 months later, I trashed them. Very poor quality. I wondered why the price made it seem like a good deal...

I have ordered these rugs in various sizes and colors and absolutely love! I looked high and low for area rugs for my beach house. I wanted something durable, rubber backing (did not want to have to put down rug pads), and attractive. Ordered the navy in 4 different sizes but it showed everything. Back to extensive internet search and after finding nothing to my liking came back to Mainstays and ordered in the sand/tan color. When the rugs arrived I was pleasantly surprised...the color is different than on website - much nicer - lighter in color which works great for my beach house. There are folds/creases after unpacking but will eventually smooth out. I used my clothing steamer to help remove the folds also.

Beautiful

The colours are gorgeous. I got the teal and it was the perfect colour I wanted. I got the 7x10 (wish I'd gotten a bigger size, my room is bigger than I realized)... I put it on the wooden floor to get it's shape as it came tightly rolled, but the ends were not capped and wherever the driver put it don, it picked up the sand, so had to vacuum that out for an entire week. Other than that the rug is perfect. I'd use it to carpet my entire house if I could. It's not plush. But it's not too thin either. If in the bedroom and you want that softness, just add a smaller rug at the bedside (I got a shag)... I have this on wooden floors and it hasn't moved or slipped... Can't go wrong with the price either.

Pretty affordable rug!

I ordered this in 5x7 in teal and it was better than I expected. The color is great and the pattern is pretty. This was only $50 so I wasn't expecting the quality to be tremendous, but overall I'm happy with it being my living room rug for the next couple of years. Some people said it felt very flimsy but to me it feels adequate. It's not the softest rug I've walked on but again it was only $50 and it's a great rug for someone looking to spend less than $100. I was worried about vacuuming on top of it due to the material feeling like it might snag. I have a friend who actually bought the same rug in tan and she assured me that it would be fine. I do recommend to not drag any furniture across it, I would pick up your coffee table to place it. Overall I'm very pleased with my purchase and would recommend it as an affordable, pretty rug.
