Happy with the final product (after assembly)

With the exception of the drawer base, this is solid wood. You will need a screwdriver with a handle that's not super fat -- there is one portion where a super fat handle might get in the way. The wood is soft so you can use a manual screwdriver. No drilling is required. For most of the wood screwing (screws included) you will be screwing through predrilled holes in one part, then through another piece *without holes*. Some parts of the directions could use minor clarifications on which way to orient the assembled piece during the building process so that screwing/attaching pieces together is a bit easier, but I just reoriented as needed. Do not overtighten pieces to the base where gaps exist between the base and the stiles (of another piece), as in a couple of cases you might begin to crack the stiles/rails (as happened to me). Since the wood is soft, expect a few gouges that were then later finished/stained. For a temp apartment, I'm very happy with this table. Comes with 4 white felt pads to stick on to the base of the feet. Although you only need a screwdriver (maybe a small hammer in case the dowels don't go in all the way, but it's not necessary), I used a cordless drill with a Phillips head and a light touch.

Coffee Table

This is a very sturdy coffee table and it was very easy to assemble. The wood tones are perfect for my decor style. The size is great and the storage space is exactly what I need for the extra junk I like to hide before company comes.
