Beautiful furniture, looks great in our office space. It was kind of complicated to assemble, but the final product was worth it. However, the initial item sent to us took almost 2 weeks arrive, and when we were able to assemble it, discovered that it smelled strongly of mold/mildew. Very strongly. We assumed it would just air out, the way new furniture sometimes needs to, but the mold smell did not disappear. The manufacturer was not going to replace the unit initially once we contacted them, but eventually they agreed and we are very happy with SimpliHome's courteous and professional customer service. The new unit is beautiful and does not smell of mold, just new furniture.

It is beautiful piece. We bought two of them for my hubby’s office and he loves it. It’s a a bit pricey, but you wont regret it. Good quality and strong piece overall.

I’ve been looking for storage options for a while, mostly for books but having the option for other things as well, and a dresser was too bulky while a book case was too narrow and tall. This is perfect. It’s well made and looks great. The back is pressed board with a wood laminate and there is definitely an order to install the back panels. There are no pre-drilled holes for the back panels, and while I did it through sheer willpower and determination, a power screwdriver would be helpful. The rest of it is assembled with pre-drilled holes and an Allen wrench, which is exhausting in its own right.

Materials are poor, cam-screws are made of something soft, screw and dowel holes were not cut well or fully cleared, the back is a veneer comparable to papier-mâché, and after assembly mine does not stand quite straight.

This item is absolutely not worth the money. The back is a trash veneer comparable to paper mache, the cam lock screws are made of some incredibly soft metal, the screw holes weren't all cleared or cut deep enough, and post assembly the thing doesn't stand quite straight.

Bought for record albums and works perfectly. Heavy duty

The bookshelf is gorgeous. Unfortunately the lower shelf and side didn't line up correctly. You can see where the lower shelf is cut at an angle so there's a gap between it and the side. Itd be too much of a hassle to return so we kept it, but definitely a bummer considering how much it cost.

Very sturdy. I was looking at other reviews because I wanted this to store books and toys in my daughter’s room. I didn’t want anything flimsy that I’d have to worry about with her pulling things off and on the shelf regularly. This fit the bill and looks really nice, too! Relatively easy to put together. I did it mostly on my own, just had my son help me lift it up at the end.

Nice looking, sturdy piece. The assembly instructions were incorrect in a few places but easily figured out. A couple of pieces were marked incorrectly. But it really wasn’t an issue for assembly.

The quality of the piece is excellent. The specifications are inaccurate as the top four cubicles are not the same size as the bottom three rows. This does not work for album storage.
