Beware of pets
The rug looks nice but I have a cat and dog whose toenails get caught in the rug. I have only had it about a month and there are pulls in several places. It it were not for the animals ( wear & tear) issues it would have a higher rating.

Beautiful Rug...but...
We purchased this rug three months ago. It was selected for its sea grass look and to give our dining room an airy coastal feel, and that it does. However, one of our cats has already done significant damage to it with her claws. It has become her favorite scratching "post." I can hear her tearing into it from the other parts of the house. No other rug in our home, woven wool or natural fiber, has ever been damaged like this, and our cats scratch them all. If you have cats with claws, you may want to either purchase a different weave of rug (this one is woven in rows of loops) or use some sort of cat repellent. I do not like to spray repellants around, so we are just out of luck. Just a warning from a cat lover.
The color and texture work well in our room
I shopped around for this particular rug and Haverty's had the best price! It took a while to get it but it was worth it. We have had it over a month now and it looks great. We got it in the Taupe color (9' x 13') for under $800. Not bad for a handmade wool rug.
