It's a great filter. I'm glad you are still selling the filters for this Honeywell unit. I still need one more but they are expensive to purchase several at one time.

Very good product, but entirely too expensive. Should not have to pay over $100 to replace

Our new air purifier uses three of these filter at a time. However the first one catches so much debris that we are able to take it out move the other two forward and then add a new one to the rear. This cuts down on the cost of replacing all the filters at one time, still does a great job at cleaning the air and gets the most life out of each filter.

Great product! I bought these to replace the exact same ones in my Honeywell HPA304 HEPA Air Purifier, Extra-Large Room (465 sq. ft), White. I used them for 1 year before replacement was needed. I have allergies and asthma so I wanted a good filter. These did the job! I noticed less dust collection in the room. I will buy them again in one year.

Reason for 1 star. We bought a Honeywell air filter. For around $285. Well these filters run $40 a piece and you need 3. So your spending $120 to replace them multiple times a year. So if you replace it twice. You could’ve just bought a new unit. Not HD, fault. But better and cheaper to buy smaller air purifier.

Filters perform to my expectations, but I think they are a little pricey. My unit requires two filters approximately every six months. Three replacements equal the price I paid for the air cleaner. On the other hand, I was able to order them from my local Home Depot and received same day delivery which was a pleasant surprise.

We have multiple indoor cats at our house and run three Honeywell air purifiers using these HEPA filters. Family and friends with serious cat allergies are able to spend hours at our place with only the additional aid of an over-the-counter antihistamine. Friends with mild cat allergies have told us they can be in our house without taking antihistamines. Highly recommend this product.

It was easier for me to order the product online because apparently my nearby store doesn't always carry many of the "R" filters I need. Our system needs 3 "R" and 1 "A" filter. I found that ordering online didn't take that long for the filters to get to the store for me to pick it up. When I went in to get them, I had no problem. The clerk took me right over to the locker my package was stored in and showed me how to unlock it. Once home we followed the instructions on the bags the product came in and we put the new filters in right away. They definitely needed to be changed. Our system tells us when to do it. Changing the filters is nice and easy. They fit perfectly and work great. They do the job. That I like, but the one thing I don't like about the filters is the cost. They are so expensive. Why? Had I known ahead of time how expensive the upkeep was on the Honeywell true Hepa Air Filter was, I never would have bought it!

Horrible odor

These filters produce a terrible chemical/oil type of smell. We’ve tried 4 different ones thinking it was a fluke but they all smell toxic. We’ve run them continuously for several days hoping the smell will dissipate but it remains strong. It’s bad enough that we cannot use the purifier units at all. I plan on taking the whole unit, filter and all to show customer service.

I purchased three of these Honeywell HRFR1 filters to replace the original filters in my Honeywell Air Purifier, HA300. The machine takes three. These were exact replacements. I don't replace them every year, but do it instead every 12months. Replacing three costs about $60. If they were cheaper I replace them more often. I don't replace the foam filter. I blow it out with compressed air and gently rinse it in an outside faucet then let it air dry. Usually it takes a day to air dry. Doing this has worked great. We love the purifier. We have two dogs that come in and out and stay only in the living room. The filter keeps the allergens down. With the Honeywell running and a quick vacuum of the room beforehand, our family with dog allergies have no reactions when they visit.

I recently purchased 2 Honeywell True Hepa air purifiers... upon receiving them, 1 was brand new. The other we were sent from the Kauai Home Depot was used. Can you believe that. We paid for a brand new product. Was charged for it and then they gave us a used one. When I opened up the box I found the filters already used and filled with dust. It was disgusting. I had to return it to a different Home Depot because I am on the Big Island only to be told they can’t replace it or give me the online price because it was not that particular Home Depot that sent me the used product. I called Kauai only to be sent from phone recording to phone recording.. so I rate Home Depot 0 stars and substandard customer service. I’ve never experienced anything like it in my life.

First, we do not have a medical condition requiring minute filtration. We do have a bedroom that has a large amount of 'dust' and that is why we have the air filtration product. We have noticed a significant decrease in this 'dust' deposited on the furniture and room fan since we purchased and activated the filter system two years ago. We clean (vacuum) the filters quarterly and have decided to change out the filters after two years because the pre-filter has a grey cast and the HEPA filters behind it are markedly dark. This is a good ROI. If you have asthma or a reaction to dust in the air (including microbes), we recommend this air filtration system.

I have had this unit for 8 months, using it in one 20x15' bedroom. It is the HPA200,and I would not have purchased it knowing what I know now.Our unit requires two filters and a pre filter carbon, they are very expensive( 69.00)also there is not enough pre-filter material given to change them more than twice,,,, and I noticed a big difference between the original carbon filter and the replacement carbons. The original produced pleasant smelling air and the replacement did not(maybe it was old). I do not think I would recommend this without a disclaimer stating the filter situation. So I would ask is the pre-filter material available separately?....that would make me happier...thank you...it moves some air though and has three modes to operate plus turbo.....
