Huffy bike review

This bike was for my granddaughter. Arrived as promised and I was surprised To see it was fully assembled. Tag said assembled for free. She has been riding it non stop. No problems mechanically or other wise. Thankyou

Great Huffy Bike

My daughter is a tall 9 year old and she loves this bike. It's the perfect height for her to use and grow into for a couple (hopefully) years! She loves the light purple color and although she didn't didn't know how to ride with gears, she learned in 5 minutes and is a natural now. Great for beginners learning riding a mountain bike with gears. The gears shift nicely, pedals are sturdy and she is extremely happy! Definitely recommend.

Great bike for a great price

Great find for our daughter who is 10yo. Was not looking to spend a ton of money as she is constantly growing out of bikes. This one seems to be able to last her for a long time and I do not have acid reflux for the amount of money that was spent. Very happy and so is she.

Great bike!!

I bought this bike a few weeks ago to upgrade my workouts. I'd been on the fence about getting a bike for over 2 years and finally decided to make it happen. I was definitely nervous as I hadn't ridden a bike in nearly 30 years. But when I saw the reviews for this one, I knew it was the best option for me. The size was perfect, the price was within my budget, and manufacturers reputation is solid.

Easy Assembly

We chose to assemble ourselves. not difficult. The only issue was the directions for the chain guard were not clear, but it was easy to install (after checking a youtube video).

The tires came flat, for this reason it has 3 stars. very inconvenient to have to load to take for air. if i wanted to load it into my car. I would have gone and got it myself. (smh) We absolutely expected to let my daughter hop on and ride. We bought this bike and another for myself. We were looking forward to the bike ride that night waiting for delivery. Only our excitement turned disappointment upon seeing tires were not to par.

ANGIE does not acknowledge the $59 assembly fee.

Because ANGIE does not acnowledge the $59 assembly fee through Walmart, I am stuck with a bike still in the box. ANGIE wants $180 to assemble a 24inch $98 youth bike. As a senior citizen on a fixed income, there is no way I can pay that type of money to assemble a $98 youth bike. Really dissapointed, and regret buying the bike.

Disappointed with the purchase

I bought the bike from the store to return home with a flat tire. I tried to inflate again and use the bike but the tube is not working. This is very disappointing considering the fact that the bike is of good quality. I haven't been able to have my kid ride the bike since the time of purchase.

received damaged and the design seemed flawed

the reflectors were broken this we can live with parts of the frame were all scraped up as though it were sticking out of the box and someone dragged it across the concrete. again this we can live with. we ultimately returned it because when my daughter got on it we noticed that if your toes stuck out past the front of the pedals more than a half inch or so the when you turn the front wheel the wheel would hit your foot. seems like the frame needed to be longer or it was meant to have smaller wheels on it.

Granddaughter Loves it!

This 24" Huffy Girl's Mountain Bike was delivered promptly, next day, fully assembled, and beautiful! The purple color is a lighter, lovely iced / frosty shade of purple. What a priceless moment to see my young granddaughter's utterly surprised face, when she discovered it all delivered and gleaming on the porch! Great quality, great price, prompt delivery, fully assembled....Thank you Walmart! Well done.

Great Bike!!

I purchased the purple color. The bike is pretty. No assembly was required. I had to purchase a padded seat cover-seat a little hard. The gears are easy to adjust while cycling. The right size frame for my height which 5’5. I recommend the bike.

BUYER BEWARE

BUYER BEWARE!!!! This bike is not safe. I read the reviews and falsely believed this bike was safe for my 10 year old daughter. I checked the brakes and rode the bike myself before allowing my daughter to ride it. 1 hour into our bike ride my daughter took an awful fall on this bike. Thank God she wears a helmet. I helped her up as she was screaming from the fall she took after landing on her left arm. I was completely surprised to see that the pedal of the bike had come off completely and the right pedal was loose causing her to fall. I rushed her to the doctor immediately only to find she had fractured the bone above her elbow and had a large abrasion on her arm plus multiple bruises. She is now in a full arm cast. This bike is not safe and don’t be fooled by the reviews. I looked back a few pages in the reviews and read a review stating that the pedal had fallen off another buyer’s bike too. I returned to Walmart and explained what happened and got no response other than “the refund will appear back on your credit card” My daughter told me “Mom let’s never go to Walmart ever again”

Good for someone at least 4.5ft tall.

Under $100, Yes please! Baught for my daughter who's now 10. It's just a tad to tall for her but maybe in a year or two it will be perfect. And yes the seat is at the lowest it can go. But she learned to adapt. She doesn't like the fact is 1) "free-wheel" meaning pedaling backwards wont activate the rear brakes. 2) she cant raise the front tire while riding like she's popping a wheely. 3) its heavier and longer than she's used to. But she likes it as it does whatever she wants it to do. She's learning to go through the gears which i told her it has to be done while pedaling so she's trying to get the hang of that. Over all she likes it and will def grow into it.

Don’t buy it

I knew it would be very basic model but I expected it would work properly. You have to pump the tires every-time before you take it out. The seat is so hard and uncomfortable even after adding a memory pad it is the same. I had to buy all additional accessories. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Great Bike, Hassle To Purchase

The bike itself is nice, impressive to see in person, online pictures dont do it justice. Keep the price in mind, this is not a bike from a specialty shop. That aside, good luck getting one that isn’t damaged on the first try. That is, unless you have them assemble it. If you want to just pick up the box, and do it yourself, expect to be returning the whole thing and getting another in hopes that pieces are all there, and in new condition. We had a bent rim first try, and I attempted to just swap that…nope, you have to return the whole thing and get another, which is unfortunate because you risk something else being wrong with it. Bad packaging is what it comes down to.

A GRRREAT women’s bike!

Bought this bike for my daughter and she ABSOLUTELY LOVES it!!! She rides it almost every day! It is good quality and Walmart gladly professionally put it together for us, which is/was SUPER appreciated!!! She not only loves the way the bike fits her and rides but she LOVES the color too! 🥰

It's a perfect fit in size for my 11 year old daughter. She liked the color purple. It's a surprise to her that it can even change speed.

Affordable Girls Bike

This bike was exactly what we were looking for our 9-year-old. The price was right and it works just fine. There were no noticeable flaws in the mechanicals or appearance. We've taken it on several 2–4-hour rides along the river trail and it performed satisfactorily.
