Overall pretty well made. Definitely not black.

Description and the product fliers included with the packaging both say this product is black, but its definitely gray. I took a chance and bought these anyways but turns out, the picture is fairly accurate. The long tube portion is the only piece that's finished darkly, and its really more of a dark gray. The flanges are all metallic gray. Not a big deal but in my case I needed it to be black to match the hardware in the room, so I ended up having to sand the pieces down lightly and spray paint

Size Matters

OK - there is nothing wrong with the pipes, in fact they are fabulous and the cost is also perfect - the issue I have is with the sizing. I needed 6 inch pipes from end to end but I did have a little wiggle room and knew that they could be a little over 7 inches in the description, but once I got them together they were well over the 6 inches that I was hoping for and the extra length that was noted in the description. I used all the brackets but went and purchased smaller straight pipe pieces so I could get the size I actually needed. They still look great and I would still buy them here, but I would be a bit cautious on the end-to-end measurements.

These are exactly the look I wanted with my living room decor! I put barn wood shelves on the wall. These brackets really set them off.

1/2” pipe shelf

1/2” pipe shelf decore - these worked great for hanging thick plank shelves above an existing wet bar. They were very easy to assemble and I ordered way more than I needed. Four brackets come in each kit. I did 60” long shelves and with two brackets per shelf they were solid as rocks. Did two screws into studs and used the provided wall inserts for the other two screws so that I didn’t have vacant holes where you could see the wall behind.

Missing package of Long Screws with Anchors.

Exactly what I wanted, I think they'll look fantastic holding my laundry room shelves up. Took a star away, because I got 20 short screws (1 extra package) and was shorted 4 long screws and anchors (1 package). Hopefully they are standard screws, that I can find in the store. Don't want to wait for a replacement to be mailed.

They aren’t black

The pipes themselves are great and went together easily. But they are not black. More of a charcoal gray.

You need to clean them

The only thing I didn't like it the fact that they had grease in them. Like lubricant grease that smelled like an auto shop?

Not for outdoor use

Very sturdy but not meant for outdoor use. Began to rust almost immediately if using outdoors you may want to paint them first.

This product isn't rust proof. hasn't even been in the bathroom 1 month and it's already super rusty. pretty bummed about it.

Greasy black residue

These pipe brackets are nice heavy duty and do what they're supposed to. Not sure if it was just mine but upon opening the packaging and handling the pipes they had this greasy black residue all over them. I couldn't really tell until I assembled the brackets then looked at my hands and they were covered in black residue. Not a deal breaker for me just rather annoying.

I purchased the PIPE DECOR 1/2 in. Black Pipe 7.75 in D x 2.5 in. H Wall Mounted Double Flange Shelf Bracket Kit (4-Pack) to install two large Walnut shelfs in my craft room. They are sturdy. Two easily hold up the 25 pound weight. I bolted them to the studs. I did need to use different screws. I needed longer screws to secure them to the studs. Also only 4 smalls screws were provided to secure the flange to the shelfs. I opted to use my own wood screws. I painted them a Kona dark brown to match my décor. The pipes do make the style look awesome. Very satisfied with this purchase. I plan to buy one more set to install shelfs in my kitchen in the future.
