Strong and durable

Wonderful made wool rug. I orderd wrong length, both were to long, also to thick for me. So sorry I had to return both rug runners.Yet, it is a wonderful made durable and soft rug.

Thick, tight weave, rich color

I'm a huge fan of Safavieh, especially the rugs. This one is very much in line with Safavieh's high quality and styling. It's a thick, tight weave with a rich color. The sculpted pattern adds visual interest, and makes it look expensive. Even though it's 100% wool, mine does not shed. Based on the high quality of this rug and my other Safavieh rugs, I know it can stand up to many years of use in a busy location.

Elegant, quality rug

I got the square navy rug, and it is stunning in person; there is difference in the pile of the ivory vs the navy but i think that makes it more attractive, but it's harder to move furniture on it. I am not noticing any significant shedding that other reviews have noted, but i have this in the basement that doesn't see a ton of foot traffic. Very elegant rug for a very reasonable price!

I bought the Navy. The rug is thick and well made. The color is stunning! Plush. For the price, you cannot beat this rug. I have 3 runners, one 3x5 and one 8x10. They are all wonderufl!

Worth the purchase

We were remodeling our study which was decked out in blues and greys. The rug came and although we absolutely loved the ocean blue color, it didn't fit with our decor. However, we liked this rug so much, we didn't want to return it so we decided to put in our foyer instead. This is a thick, beautifully tufted wool rug at a very good price.

Beautiful but sheds

First time owning a wool rug. I love it! Very thick and good quality. My rug sheds a lot so I don't know if that's normal for wool rugs but is annoying since I must vacuum a lot. That said, I love the colors and design and mostly happy with purchase.

Pattern received not the same as online photo

Rug is a beautiful shade of green + thick. But the rug received doesn't match online photo; it has a much larger pattern which looks too big on a small 2'x3' rug. HD, please change the photo on your website to accurately depict the product being sold.

Pretty... but not like the picture,

While anyone who shops here knows that OS.com prices cannot be beat for these thick, wool area rugs, you are always taking a chance in terms of color and patterns matching what is advertised. That being said, I am happy for the most part with my area rugs purchases here at OS.com, but when reviewing I will try to be as thorough as possible, including photos where needed. The quality of every Safavieh thick wool area rug that I have bought is fantastic, if that is what you are looking for. They feel great under bare feet and look amazing on your floors. The backing is excellent, with wide grosgrain ribbon reinforcing the edges. They will fit up your vacuum cleaner several times when they are new, but I do not mind this. I prefer wool and that comes with the territory. There is no looping in this one like some of the Safavieh ones I have, so the issue of the loops coming away from the backing is not here. However, because it is all tufted it will fill that vacuum cleaner up way faster and with more shedding that the other ones that are looped or partially looped. This doesn't matter to me, personally. It is gorgeous! This is on carpeting in front of a patio door where me and the dogs frequently go in and out. It has resisted stains nicely but it moves about quite a bit in this particular situation. Not the rug's fault. I bought the 2'3" x 7' Runner - Green/Ivory in this rug. I am NOT happy to say that with this rug, the pictures of the runner do not match the color or the pattern (see attached). The pattern is bigger on mine, looking like it was cut from a larger piece instead of how it looks in the listing pictures, which is just weird, and the color is more subtle. I am a fine artist, so the fact that these things match what they are selling is important to me. A disappointment. However (and here is the common thread you will see in some of my reviews of the area rugs I have bought here at OS.com), it is well made and still attractive despite being disappointed in the color and especially the pattern differences from the listing pictures, and OS' return policy on rugs is a bear to deal with... so I am keeping it.

Outstanding Quality!

We ordered 4 of these rugs: a 7' round for the center of the room, a 3'x5' for our coat rack & shoe storage, and two small rugs for entry doors. The colors (navy & cream) are perfect for our house! Additionally, the quality of the rugs are superior - very plush, well made, with a dense, high pile. It is a fantastic addition to the hard floors in giving some comfort and coziness. These are exactly what we were looking for!

Not in love with the quality.

Only reason I gave this rug 2 stars is bc it is a nice thickness, which I like. I ordered the dark grey color. It almost looks like a deep purple. My biggest complaint is that the rug had flaws. There were parts that were still looped and not cut properly over it. Rug is getting returned because of this issue.

Beautiful rug!

This is a beautiful rug. The colors are exactly what I was looking for and it looks perfect at my front door. I was concerned that it was a wool rug as I know they can shed for a while. I have had no shedding. I am so pleased with this purchase. Overstock has never disappointed me with any of my purchases.

Stunning!

The icing on my room makeover cake! Adds a beautiful finishing touch. Colour exactly as pictured, soft to the feet and so far no shedding as mentioned in other reviews, maybe a change in the manufacturing method? Will let the photo speak for itself. UPDATE It's been down for a couple of weeks and I have noticed a bit of shedding, but still not enough to regret my purchase.

Pretty but sheds like a SHEEP DOG!

The rug is undeniably beautiful with a good weight to it and is very thick HOWEVER, I have never had a rug that sheds like this. Within an hour of laying it out I had little hair balls blowing around my living room. Sweeping and vacuuming my floors six times a day just isn't an option, so I may have to cut my losses and buy something to replace it.

I purchased this in the gray and white for my master bath. It's gorgeous, it's plush. It laid down flat immediately and looks great against my white tiles. It's doesn't pill or shed much, like allot of new wool rugs do. It's such a great color, I'm having the gray matched to repaint my walls a matching color. I highly recommend this rug.

STUNNING! STUNNING! STUNNING! Well it's Safavieh - so its a sure thing. It's gorgeous tufted wool, perfect construction, clean design, and the color is just as pictured - warm, cheery, whimsical green. I put this rug in my living room and, I'm serious, everyone who walks in comments on it. BONUS: The white trellis is in relief. This means that the green wool is higher and is the first line of dirt defense - while the white stays bright. I have had it cleaned once and cleans superbly.

I love the pattern of this rug. The color looks great in my bathroom since I have pale yellow walls and stark white fixtures, tile flooring, tub, etc. and a gray and white marble vanity top sink. I purchased the 5' x 5' size, and it fits perfectly. The carpet is soft, vacuums well and looks fresh and modern contrasting the conservative bathroom in which it sits. Everyone who's seen it loves it. My designer thought I made a great choice.

This rug is beautiful! Thick and soft! I hesitated about buying it at first because I read other reviews that the gray was a purple color. It is not at all purple but the actual gray color may be a little darker charcoal than pictured in ad but this makes the off white pattern pop! This rug sheds a great deal at first but after several vacuumings not as much. See my posted picture for actual color.

Beautiful, thick, plush, true to size, well made, exactly what I wanted and needed for my space. My only disappointment is the little tiny fuzzies that I can see of the wool shedding, but honestly I have to look close to see that. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE wood rugs for their comfort and beauty. I skimped last time by purchasing a hook rug for my stair landing and my dog showed me exactly what she thought of it by destroying it and ingesting it. Never again! I was lucky that she wasn't hurt! Rich, deep navy blue without being blue-black. The white is slightly off-white, but I'm ok with that.

Lovely and THICK

I was shocked at how luxe and thick the carpet was. It rubs between your toes like fresh cut grass. Vacuum before you walk on it, it will shed a bit at first. It was exactly as pictured and we were very happy with it!,

Excellent quality, Great price

I wanted this rug for quite a while before buying it. I snagged it during the Veteran's Day sale, and it arrived just a few days later, even quicker than it said it would. The rug is thick and heavy and of great quality. It did shed a little bit, but not any more than what I thought a new rug would. A couple of vacuums later, and it's perfect. The color was exactly as pictured. I priced the same rug at several other places and Overstock was the best price by far. I am thrilled with my purchase, and since then, have bought another new rug from Overstock as well.
