I took this out of the packaging and laid it out on the floor in my living room... The pile is a little thicker than I thought it was going to be... The carpet is bumpy, so I vacuumed it, hoping that some of the bumps would settle... So it's only been less than 24 hours since I opened it so let's see if the bumpiness smoothes out. The rug is pretty, and it makes my living room look cozy...

This is a very pretty and super fluffy, soft area rug. It’s quite heavy in the 8x10 size. Seems like a good quality. My kids love laying on it because it’s so soft. Only drawback was a weird odor, but it dissipated after about a week.

Thick, Soft and Beautiful

This is a fantastic rug for a great price. This is so much softer and more plush than I thought it would be. It is nice and thick! The only cons are the bits of loose fibers that came off when I first laid it out as well as the greasy residue I've noticed on all of my new rugs. A quick pass with the vacuum set it right. Excuse the mess for the photo, still mid move-in! I hope it is durable, I am very happy with everything else about it.

Very nice, large and fluffy area rug

I bought this rug to "Lighten up" my living room and it does an excellent job. It is very soft and comfortable. I think 2 inches is a great depth. The only thing I regret is picking a rug with a fringe because it hurts to walk on the knots and they don't stay flat. I bought a large one and it weighed 80 lbs. Fortunately for me, the delivery person carried it inside for me so that I could unpack it and pull it into the living room. It is almost white, lighter than the picture shows. We shall see how it wears over time but I am happy with it.

Beautiful color and so soft!

I ordered this on in a 10x14 on Sunday and somehow got it today, 4 days later! We love it. The color is a very pretty white. I spent waaaay too long looking at rugs and was nervous to get one that would be too beige/cream. This one is perfect!! It arrived folded up but the wrinkles went away just a few hours later and I don't notice any smell (it's in our living room though which is very open). It's very comfortable to walk on and I really like the pattern. Attaching a picture although it's not the best. Looks better in real life.

I had high hopes for this rug as I am a safavieh Moroccan shag fan, And we have several. This particular Rug has a lovely design, but it is somewhat disappointing in terms of the softness and height of the pile. I'm not sure if we're going to return it or not because were kind of lazy. Currently using it in my studio and it makes the floor so much more comfortable, but it does not compare to the other Safavieh shags we have purchased from Overstock. Not really sure what happened there

Beautiful rug and great quality, but I wound up returning because it was not the right color for my home. The white/cream portion of the rug is more white to me than off-white or "ivory" as stated, but it is likely due to the colors in my home clashing with the tone. It's not a stark, cool white for sure. Just be prepared that it appears lighter in person in my opinion. I didn't snap a photo before returning, so try and look for photos from other reviewers to see if it's the right shade for your space.***

This is a nice cozy rug. It does not shed. I placed it in my bedroom and its very comfortable to walk on in the morning. You have to fluff it once you unroll it to make the shag alive. Once of my favorite Geometric rugs and perfect for any room. You will not be disappointed in purchase and will love as much as I do. I have had mine over a year and it looks brand new still. Safavieh rugs are amazing!

The colors are true to the picture and the rug looks nice. I have (soon to be had) this in my home office. This shag has very long twisted fibers and I was not prepared for how difficult this rug is to vacuum and clean. I have a central vac and my powerhead can be adjusted for rug height but even at the highest setting, my vacuum would stop and the suction alone did not get to the deepest levels of the rug. I tried my Dyson but it had the same problem. ugh! Additionally, this rug does not do well with high traffic - it picks up and shows dirt easily and is impossible to clean. I had professional rug cleaners come which improved the situation but it is a never-ending battle to keep it looking nice even with diligence to no shoes. I'm chalking this one up to a learning experiece.

Gorgeous well-made rug. We originally bought this to stage our house to sell and it did a fantastic job. The black pattern has silver/metallic fibers which give it a great high end look. It's sold as gray but the pattern is very dark, more like black to me. Like all long pile rugs, it doesn't clean well with a carpet shampooer and it doesn't vacuum great either. Not a complaint since that's just the nature of the rug, but if you are constantly cleaning up crumbs from pets or kids, this rug will trap them all. We have had luck beating it outside, and we ended up hosing it down after using it daily for a year and a half. It took most of a day to clean and suction-dry it with the shampooer but it looks brand new again (no significant stains were present, just looked dirty). We haven't had any loose threads or bare spots emerge and we have several dogs. This was definitely one of the better home purchases I've made.

Nice Carpet

Purchased this to go under our baby rocker chair. Fits perfectly. The carpet is nice and comfortable and has an excellent design. Does not lose any threads and is standing up to quite a bit of abuse. Purchased the Grey one and upon closer inspection, it's some black, silver and grey threads which make up the grey. However, from a distance, it does truly look grey. Highly recommended.

Beautiful rug but easily ruined

I loved this rug when it first arrived, it looked and felt amazing. But then my friends dog peed on it and it was game over. The pee was easy to clean off but the bottom of the rug is made from some weird brown/yellow stuff and that seeped up the white threads. The rug looked clean but as the cleaning solution dried, the rug looked worse than ever. The white lines were brown. The white is made of a different type of threads than the gray. After I cleaning it about 10 times, I eventually got it to look almost good as new...and then someone spilled a glass of water and the same thing happened. Now my rug looks patchy and very used even though I've only had it a few months. So if you can keep this rug away from all liquid, it should be good, but I'm going to have to replace mine with something else :(

Navy blue is nice addition

This navy and white rug replaced a solid white rung in my living room. The pattern is not overly distracting and the color is a true navy blue. It add a welcome dimension without adding too much color or darkening. It arrive well packaged and the nap was flat, but one vacuuming brought it up without issue. I've had it down now about a month and have not experienced any shedding. ,

safavieh tibetan shag rug

I love this rug! The quality is excellant, the gray color is excellant! I love the white in the rug because it is a true white. I have had this rug in my living room for a few months now and it still looks perfect. It's been easy to vacuum. It's so soft and cozy. This is the 3rd safavieh rug I have purchased. They have all been differant styles and colors but they are all very good quality. I highly recommend this rug. It looks just like the picture-so luxurious!

I was concerned when I first rolled out this rug because it was smooshed down and didn't look fluffy like the picture. However, after vacuuming, the pile lifted up and it's beautiful. The individual gray fibers appear to have a darker and lighter strand twisted together so the rug has great color depth. It's a neutral gray, although may slightly lean a little toward a blue undertone. The ivory color trellis is more white than ivory. Very pretty combination. I would only knock off a half star because I thought it would be a little thicker. I did not add a rug pad as this is for a guest bedroom. It works fine without the rug pad but if I were using it for a living or family room, I'd add the rug pad.

Thick, soft, & beautiful

I have been skeptical of shag since childhood, thanks to some threadbare stuff in my grandparents' house and some very garish and filthy specimens that initially bedizened the house I grew up in. But we wanted a thick rug to cushion the floor next to our 2-year-old's bed in case of falling out, and I am thoroughly happy with this purchase. The rug is wonderful to stand on, has a pretty design (yes, the green threads are a little longer), and hasn't yet shown any dirt after two months' use...albeit in a low-traffic area. Also didn't shed. There is a slight, off-pattern line of green from one end to the other that tells me why it was available so cheaply, but it's not distracting and doesn't bother us since we're not using it as, say
