I purchased this rug in several different sizes for a basement family room. The rugs were excellent quality, but one rug arrived with a chunk missing from the middle. I had to return them, and I was afraid to try again.

Love the rug !! Color is just as pictured ! Soft feel to the feet and nice thickness .

If you've ever shopped online for a rug, you know it takes time and can be frustrating! But what excitement (and relief) you feel when you find the perfect rug! I've purchased a Safavieh rug in the past and it is a high-quality wool rug that wears well. Any shedding the rug experiences is easily vacuumed and resolves. The color in this rug matches my decor beautifully and enhances the colors in both the painting and entryway console. I couldn't be happier with the purchase of both the 4'x6' and 2'x3' rug. The introduction of a rug in the entryway is a sophisticated but warm welcome in a home. And yes, I do have grandchildren (3 boys!) who will be running across the carpet but I feel a carpet gains character and warmth with age. There is a slight color difference between the two sizes (the ivory in the smaller rug purchased is lighter.) The possibility of color variation was mentioned in the description. Definitely need the double-sided pad to prevent slippage and movement. Even the flip side of the carpet is of quality-mitered corners and natural materials. I had minimal difficulty with the edges curling but did keep the rugs with right side down for 2 days to allow edges to flatten and used a weight on corners to make sure they lie flat. Initially, I was unsure if the colors would work so I ordered the 2'x3' size as a "test." Perfect! yay and immediately ordered the larger size. The foyer which is tiled is app 10'x7' but I opted for a rug that would be centered in front of the console and allow the tile to be visible. Choosing the size for the foyer was the most difficult part of the purchase. I thought about purchasing the larger size 5'x8' but am happy that I chose the smaller version. There are many online resources that guide you through the process of choosing optimal size rug for an area. I had a hall tree as well as floor vents to consider in choosing a rug size. So very happy with this purchase!

Gorgeous Rug

Perfect for my mini-bedroom renovation...thick and soft! I have bought many wool rugs from Overstock, and expect a certain amount of shedding, but this one has not been bad at all!

Love this rug for my family room! I was amazed at the quality for the price! Colors are slightly different from the pictures but work fine. The picture shows the light blue edges as almost a baby blue but they are actually a gray blue. Also, the center background color is darker than shown. The quality is excellent, looks like a much more expensive rug.

Beautiful but sheds a lot

We love this rug, it goes beautifully in out kitchen. My only complaint is that it sheds horribly, it fills up our Roomba in minutes. We love the rug!

Looks just like t pics. Beautiful wool rug. Colors are amazing. I would recommend anyone who is looking for a quality wool rug to check out the Safavieh handmade rugs.
