What a disappointment when I unrolled my new rug only to see this. The first foot or so was folded numerous times like a piece of paper and then the rest of the rug was rolled. I didn't think the creases would come out but after turning the rug upside down and placing heavy objects across the entire width of the rug for 4 days, the creases did calm down. They are still visible but much improved now over what is shown in the photos. Fortunately I'm using this in my dining room, under a table, and was able to put the end with the creases away from the doorway so it's not as obvious. Normally I'd return something that was delivered like this, but being a rug it's just too cumbersome to repackage and return. I will say the colors are beautiful, exactly as pictured -- touches of plum and various shades of gray. It's on the thin side but I expected that for the price. The majority of the reviews of this rug are good which is why I made the purchase. I must have just gotten one that was packaged by someone who was having a bad day.
