Just as pictured, great feel underfoot. The white/blue "stripes" that make the windowpane design are tufted and the squares inside the stripes are looped, so there is some variation in texture that leads to a slightly "lumpy" feel. This is what I expected - and like - but could be a slight tripping hazard for someone who needs a very smooth surface. Also, look carefully at the close-up photos - the rug is run through with some really fun colors. The predominant look/feel is ivory/blue but there are little bits of salmon, tan, brown, gold as well. I wanted that for my room but if you're expecting just ivory and a few shades of blue, you may be surprised. All in all, exactly what I hoped for and expected based on pictures. High quality construction, really playful design. Great for my guest room/office combo.
