Target for the win!
Love the neutral color and wingback style of this glider recliner. I looked everywhere (locally and on-line) before finally making a decision. I also like that it fits in a tight space next to my bedside and the gliding feature on it is so soothing it puts both me and my baby in a very relaxed mood. The amount of cushion overall is decent but cannot speak to its longevity. Happy customer. Thanks Target!
So so uncomfortable
I am so disappointed in this chair. We have a different chair of the same brand just different style that is super comfortable so after reading reviews of the Arlo chair, we went for it thinking it would be similar. If I sit in this chair for longer then an hour, my butt hurts, my back hurts, the arm rests suck and are too skinny, there is absolutely nowhere to put your head so my neck is killing me. The leg rest is also HARD! It basically digs into my calves. I wish I wouldn’t have spent so much on this chair. I’m so sad that we are stuck with this chair and wish they still made the chair we have in my son’s nursery. Would not recommend this chair unless you want to be sore all over.
Poor quality
Great look, poor quality. My newborn is 7 weeks old and already I regret this purchase. Within the first week the stitching of the lumbar pillow came apart. The recline is very jerky and to close you have to slam shut using all leg power and very noisy. All of which wakes a little one and my spouse when doing in the middle of the night feeds. Would not recommend. Wish I would have spent more money on something nicer and more seamless which doesn’t disrupt baby sleep.
The perfect chair
I had bought a rocking chair a few months ago on Facebook marketplace and it was not the most comfortable. I finally decided to get another one, but definitely wanted to make the right choice. I read reviews after reviews then finally decided on this chair. It is perfect. Super comfy, cute and easy to recline. I seen a few people saying they have trouble closing it, but if you hit it right the first time I had no issues. Others talked about it leaning forward when getting up and out, but I don’t have that issue. Get the chair, it’s great
Love for the price!!!
LOVE this chair! Super easy to put together too. Is this chair the best quality, absolutely not. But for the price, I am definitely satisfied! My husband and I are both tall (5’9 & 6’). This chair comfortably sits both of us. The arms are also not too low…which I’m super pleased about. Color was a little more ivory than I would prefer, but all in all, happy!
Good choice for nursery chair
I did a ton of research and this chair should be a top pick for anyone! The fabric is very soft and it is a good size for even tall people to be comfortable. My husband is 6’2” and enjoys it too and can fully recline. The recline mechanism is a little tricky and I’m still getting the hang of closing the reclining footrest but so far I would recommend as it is a great chair for the price! We looked at a lot of pottery barn chairs, but ultimately went with this for a better value and so far we are happy!
Glider Recliner
Once we FINALLY received our recliner, sofa and loveseat set, we still love it! The ease of recline and glide are high quality, the material that the furniture is made of is impecable. If you have a truck and or have the ability to take your furniture home same day do so. If the system crashes again your order will be "lost" and there are no backup servers or systems in place to protect you, and the sales people will continue to sell without warning customers. With that being said, the furniture is great along with the price as long as you can pick up same day.
Chefs kiss
I love this chair! I searched and searched for a chair for our baby girls nursery for an embarrassing amount of time and even returned one prior to this. im 5'10" and my husband is 6'1" so finding a chair with tall enough arm rests and a tall enough back where we can still rest our head on the back of the chair without dangling off the ledge is apparently a rare commodity for gliders. this one checked all the boxes: taller arm rests for comfort while rocking the baby, a taller back, it reclines, it swivels, and the cushions feel thick and durable like there's springs in/underneath like a lazy boy would have. definitely feels high quality and won't get squishy and sag after a year. i got the boucle fabric and I love it. price was a little more than I wanted to spend originally, but the quality of what I got matches the price and im very happy. I set it up by myself in 5 minutes, super easy - couple pieces click/slide into place and done ✅
New favorite seat in the house
TLDR: just buy it! I did a lot of research before ordering this chair. We wanted something quality and didn’t have money to waste! Baby isn’t here yet (36 weeks pregnant) but we’ve had the chair for about a week now and I’ve practically been living in it. It’s so comfortable and actually helps my pregnancy back pain. The material and cushioning are both way softer than they look online. Fabric feels high quality. The back reclines all the way so you can sleep in it if you want- if I’m not careful, my husband may steal this chair for football season! I haven’t intentionally tested the “stain resistant” quality, but a bit of avocado got on one of the arms and it came out super easy with just water. It took about five minutes to set up- honestly, opening the box & removing the packaging took longer than assembling the chair. The manual recline has not been an issue at all, so easy to work with the lever on the inside of the seat. I have not found the foot rest difficult to return to position at all, unlike some other reviewers. We got this chair for about half price between the baby registry discount and gift cards. Knowing what I know now, I would definitely pay full price if need be. It’s my new favorite seat in the house!
Great recliner especially for a small room
I have actually purchased this chair twice, once with the ottoman in white and once as a recliner in grey. The recliner is a better option in my opinion if the room is small and you plan on spending hours in the chair. I think it is very comfortable. I find the recliner to be more comfortable than the chair with the ottoman because of the angle created when you use the recliner. Its more like laying down versus sitting up.
Hate to write this review but…
Hate to have to write this review, but I must! I did so much research on nursery chairs and this seemed to be a good mid price range choice. Not sure how there are so many good reviews for this one at this price point. If it cost $200-$250 I’d say you got what you paid for. The chair looks nice, but beyond that I don’t see many pros. It’s not overly comfortable. The foot rest is NEARLY impossible to get closed. Literally have to kick back as hard as we can to close it. Mind you, my husband and I are in our late 20s and in pretty good shape so not sure if everyone struggles or if our chair is defective. When I recline back if my weight isn’t perfectly distributed the chair slowly turns to the right until it hits the wall. This is EXTREMELY frustrating in the of the night along with having to kick the legs closed with all my might while holding a sleeping baby. Such a bummer that after spending $500+ on this chair we are so unhappy with it and already looking to get a different one. *Baby girl is only 7 weeks old*
Great chair
I'm not a new mom heck, my grandkids are even too big to rock but I love this chair. It arrived quickly and just one day before I ended up at home sick. I spent three days pretty much planted in this chair and what a comfort it was. My back never bothered me like often happens with pillow back recliners. It's comfortable but supportive. The only thing I would change would be the height, it sit really far off the floor but I wonder if that has something to do with being both a recliner and a swivel. It's still a lovely chair. The mechanism works easily and assembly was simple.
Rocker not glider
This chair was fairly easy to put together and is pretty comfortable; I like that it has a taller back so you can rest your head if you want to, and the recliner function works well. Yes, your feet will dangle off a bit, and yes you have to apply some force to close it manually and it makes a little noise, but I don't find that to be as difficult or problematic as some reviewers have stated. That said, I'm dinging this chair for two reasons: first and most importantly, the motion is a ROCKING motion, not a gliding one. People, there's a difference! I wanted a glider, not a rocker! (One of the more material ways this matters is there's a wider range of motion at the top/head, which means the chair needs to be further out from the wall to prevent collision). The second issue is the seat is tipped forward a bit. Meaning an object on my lap would be inclined to roll forward off my lap instead of backwards into my stomach. Considering how many people are looking at this chair for purposes of a nursery (rocking a child to sleep/nursing, etc) this seems problematic. And it's not super comfortable, since I feel like I have to have my feet on the ground to keep my butt from sliding forward. TL;DR: adequate, needs some improvement.
Comfortable
I was worried about buying a recliner online without being able to try it in the store first, but I guess with Covid and supply chain issues, it's just impossible to find anything in the store to try out. So after weeks of searching online and reading reviews, and trying to stay under the $700-$800 range, I narrowed it down to 3 options. My husband liked this one best just based on the design and overall look.
