Better Than Nothing. The material is thin, semi-sheer and light like a very cheap cotton sheet. My dark gray box spring shows through. Not bad enough to pay return shipping for a $20 item so I’m using it until I find a better quality one. In a nutshell…it’s probably fine if you have a light colored box spring and fairly low expectations.

The stitching in the hem of the skirt is very loosely sewn. From the appearance, it will not last. I am not sure if the sewing machine was not set correctly, but the stitches are very loose and have allowed some ravelling after washing and drying one time. I am not pleased with this product. Service was excellent, beyond expectation, but not the hem.

[Rewarded Review] Not the Laura Ashley quality I remember

The section of the bed skirt that goes over the top of the bed springs is too small. I decided to pull it over toward one side, so the skirt would look longer on that side. As a result, it's too short on the other side. The fabric is cotton. I didn't realize that, or I would not have ordered it. My last cotton bed skirt tore, because I would put my foot on the rail. I know, my bad. The fabric is also thin. If I hadn't gone through the trouble of washing and ironing it and removing the mattress myself, I would have returned it.

I think bed skirts are expensive so I waited for a great deal to purchase. I am pleased. It was wrinkled out of the package but looked great after quick use of my steamer! I will buy another

Bedskirt

Ivory color is very light and material is very sheer. Like the label says: DEFINITELY do NOT iron the platform that bedskirt is sewn onto. It melts like plastic. I accidentally touched iron to it and immediate hole occurred. Bedskirt itself ironed very nicely and fits perfectly. I'm rating a 4 because of the quality of the fabric and workmanship.

Slightly disappointed

Overall the bed skirt is fine. I have bought many items from Laura Ashley, have been satisfied and appreciated their beauty and quality. This bed skirt ticks all the boxes positively, but upon a closer look, the gathering of the skirt is uneven. For most of the skirt it's fine, but on one corner, it is flat--that is there are no gathers, and that's the corner that greets those who enter our bedroom! I will keep it because the winter bedspread covers most of the skirt. But for spring and summer, a different comforter isn't as forgiving. I don't know how to affix photos to E-bay anymore, otherwise would post a photo! (I don't use my phone for the internet.)

This cotton ruffled bed skirt was a poor choice on my behalf. Cotton is very hard to get the wrinkles out. You have iron the wrinkles out. I did not realize that until after I purchased it and tried ironing the wrinkles out and put it on my bed. It looked ok.

It’s the right size. It’s the right color. However, I washed it before I used it . That’s where the problem occurred. It will take considerable efforts with the iron to make it usable. Hoping it will look better after that.

Perfect bed skirt for us

We like the white color; length is good. We like that it isn't just a ruffle but fits over the whole mattress. Material is thin, but not too thin. Very happy with purchase.

Just okay

The bed skirt fits fine. The ruffles look cute. However, I did not like the flat part that lays on the box spring. It is not fabric, or cotton. It is cheap polyester and not a solid piece either. It is perforated. The ruffle material is quite thin but at least it's cotton. I would not have purchased the bed skirt had I known about the polyester part. If that info was on the item page then I missed it.

Help is needed to put on!!!! or not?

Okay... this comes in a small package...you need an iron and ironing board to prepare for this event. Get set ready go... first getting it out of the package and unfolded is the first task at hand... Iron is on....proceed ... fifteen minutes later all the wrinkles are gone... and I haven't made new ones...this is a plus.

This bedskirt is VERY cheaply made. The cotton feels and looks like paper, and the piece that hold the skirt together is made of a cheap polyester that has a horrible chemical smell. Do not waste your money ordering this! So disappointed in the amount of money that I had to pay to return this item.

Very Disappointed

I was very disappointed with the quality. I read the reviews before buying and thought they must be wrong because it was Laura Ashley brand so I purchased it anyway. The fabric was thinner than anything I've ever purchased. It was also very wrinkly. I can't imagine what it would have been like after washing. Don't buy this one. I returned it with no problem.

The cotton skirt quality is so poor - you can see through it. Wayfair sent me an email saying it was now 40% off on this item and I talked to your representative, Jada, and she told me the item had a cotton fabric to the under bed sheet - it came with a micro fiber one and she told me Wayfair.

Upset With This Bed Skirt

I normally love The Laura Ashley brand and have order many items with them and still have a duvet cover that I have had for years and still love it. But this does not seem like the typical product I used to purchase and was so please with this brand. The bed skirt is thin, wrinkly (and mine was ironed twice) and I am not happy with my purchase. I've order two bed skirts in the past month and I dont know what is going on, but they are not what I had hoped it would look like on my bed. It's sheer, so wrinkly, expensive, and the quality is cheap. It feels like a very thin bed sheet made into a bed skirt. I wouldn't recommend this bed skirt to other folks. To me, the Kohl's picture doesnt even look like the one I purchased. Very unhappy.

[Rewarded Review] Okay

I like the color of the “skirt,”. However, the rest of the item ( the part that is on the bed) is like paper. I’ve had bed skirts that are of a fabric. I would think for the price, that. That’s what it would be. Their are a couple holes, in that area as you can see. It’s a minor flaw, I guess.I did keep it. But just wanted to point this out. If this isn’t a deal breaker for some, I would recommend it.

The platform of the bed skirt that rests under the mattress is a plastic type material called “polypropylene” which is a cheap alternative to microfiber. The skirt itself is 150 thread count 100% cotton which is rather thin and looks like muslin. The manufacturer could have, at the very least, used a cloth material for the platform, and used a higher thread count cotton material for the skirt. I do not recommend this product, and very disappointed with Laura Ashley, which I have purchased for years, product is nowhere near the quality this brand once was / used to be.

Not as advertised. Not the usual Laura Ashley quality product I’m used to.

I am disappointed in the quality of this Laura Ashley bed skirt. It is advertised as 100% cotton, but the platform section is polypropylene. The bed skirt is only 13 1/2” in length, not the advertised 14 1/2” length. The skirt has a strong chemical odor. This item looks cheap like something Wal-Mart would sell; not worth the price.

Disappointed

I gave this 2 star only because it's positive is that the bed skirt has cut corners that can accommodate a bedframe with footboard. However, that's the only positive so far. It is very thin cotton. When paired with a thicker comforter - this bed skirt looks flimsy. I am surprised as Laura Ashley bedding usually has a higher quality, better thread count etc. but this in disappointing. In addition - the underside of bed skirt (the portion that goes between mattress and box spring) is not regular fabric - it's more like a papery material that seems like it would tear if you tug too much to get it on. Not worth the money. This one is going back

2 Stars

I was highly disappointed when the bedskirt arrived. When I opened the package it had a horrible chemical smell and airing it did not help so I had to wash it . The skirt fabric is so thin that I can see the bed frame. The skirt is supposed to 15" but when I measured it, it was 14" had my son recheck and he also found it to be 14" not what I ordered. I expect a Laura Ashley product to be of better quality but its not, it looks cheap. I would not recommend anyone to purchase this product and should have listen to some of the bad reviews.
