Duvet Not as Pictured

The duvet is not as pictured on the website. It does not have the decorative ruffle on the bottom nor does it have the round tack quilting on it. Very plain and the color is darker that what is shown on the website. Macy's should never advertise products that are different from what the customer receives. I did not receive the product I ordered. I live 500 miles away from where the duvet was delivered to my daughter's house. We have a second home close to her and did not see the product for weeks after it was delivered when we went for a visit. Macy's probably won't let me return it. Very disappointed.

Well made. I would prefer the button closure at the edge of the duvet. It is ridiculous that any bedding made from polyester should be "dry clean only". The original fabric treatment of the material was quite odorous and even with straight air fluffing and febreeze dryer sheets, the odor was overpowering. I washed the duvet and pillows and they came out beautifully. Product care should be stated in the advertisement of this product.

I bought 4 valances on November 27, 2023, but I never received the items. When I called to ask for the valances, I was told they were delivered on December 7, 2023. I told them I never received them and instead of sending the items to me, they cancelled my order. This is a scam and a bad business.

odor!

Terrible odor from the set. I even washed it and it still smells so doshisting like the warehouse it was kept at. Disgusting that you keep 200$ bedding at place that make it smell so gross that it’s impossible to sleep on it even after washing

It's better on the picture...

My review for 4 pcs comforther set. It's better on the picture... the color and the texture look just fantastic on the picture, maybe because of the abundance of chic pillows and specilal light effects? In my case, on my king bed, the set with four pillows (I also got two extra gorgeous pillow from the same collection) of the pastel colors washed out the room and looked very boring on the bed.

Beautiful dressy comforter

Looks absolutely beautiful! I just put it on the bed and my husband immediately commented on how pretty it was. We both cautioned each other that this was going to be some work on our part to keep it clean but we both love it. I have purchased J Queen comforters in the past and have always been impressed with the quality so I am hoping that this set continues with that tradition. The color is a "creme" color.

Won’t fit in a normal size washer and dryer so you have to go to the laundromat to wash it but it still looks new after 6 years of everyday use

Beautiful Duvet, but disappointing it doesn't have the pleads on the edges like it shows in the picture.

I love, love, love, this bedding set!! I just put it on my bed today even though I had the curtains up already. I bought everything and it came well packaged. The background color of this pattern is pearl and the damask print is white. There are no yellowish tones to this pattern. I agree with other reviewers that if you have dark furniture it really pops!! I have a French themed bedroom so it really fits in. I painted my wall a calm tranquil sage green to compliment this bedding. The quality cannot be beat. Well made as expected from this manufacturer. Thanks Macy for carrying J. Queen New York!! I am a fan for life now.

You feel like you are staying at a high end hotel

The fabric is so Luxe. Beautiful details in the bedding, skirt, and pillows. Love it!

Awful Smell

The set is beautiful but has a horrible smell on the duvet, bedskirt and pillow covers. Had all items dry cleaned but the smell persists.

This set is TRULY amazing!

As someone stated, she had been looking for just the perfect bedding set for a long time. So had I...until I found this company! First, I ordered their Napolean set in gold but it was just wayyyy too gold for my taste. The Napolean's color was too dark and the color was "off" for my room. My BR walls are beige with brown overtones. I also have a beige carpet. Needless to say, ordering on line is very tricky! Disappointed, but determined, I forged ahead and gambled on the Marquis set. I was hesitant about the color because it looks almost white with just some beige when viewing it on the computer monitor. I wasn't sure the Marquis set would work, but the moment I walked into the room with the bag, I knew the color was spot on! I had a winner color wise! To address other important issues: First of all, the workmanship is top notch. You will not be disappointed there. You are getting what you paid for it. Second, the set is just as described...only better in person. The pattern is quite subtle and not busy at all. It lends itself to creating a calm environment for the bedroom. Third, as some have mentioned, it is sophisticated and elegant. They are right: putting this on your bed will impress those of us that are VERY hard to please. I can't believe that I've never heard of this company before! They are in NYC and do have their own website. It looks like you could custom order/visit in person if your needs dictate that. However, I digress! I loved this set so much that I ordered 2 pillows and the drapes. (I hope I get some money back from my taxes!!) I do believe I will be back for the shams and the round pillow next! I can't imagine anyone not liking this or the set not meeting the pickiest person's expectations. Everything is perfect about the Marquis bedding set. Hats off to this wonderful company and the designer! I now have a new favorite company. I can't wait to buy something for my son's room next!

If you are concerned about ordering on line, don't be. The set is more beautiful in reality than it appears on line; you will not be disappointed. I ordered the duvet cover, and am using it without a filler so the look is more of a coverlet. Love it! Highly suggest that you splurge and order the accent pillows (especially the round and boudoir) - often they are worth the price, but in this case are beautiful, generously sized, and truly finish the set off. We tried it in 2 rooms - one with an antique 4 poster bed, the other a more contemporary espresso sleigh bed - it looked great in both. Overall, just a beautifully designed, well made set with elegant accents.
