One piece (A) was cracked, so I had to glue it. Another piece (F) was too large, so I had to trim it. Once those two things were done, the bookcase fit together well, and looks good.

Particle board . Not sturdy . Came broken with screws coming out of the particle board top. They could have used a real wood top. Particle board never was made for structure to last . Don’t buy . Won’t support the weight and moves and structurally unsound .

This product had the best shipping packing ever! Plenty of foam to protect the bookcase, thus zero defects when we unpacked it. The instructions were clear and it didn't take long to assemble. There was an solvent smelling odor residue from the finish, no problem, we left the bookcase in the garage for two days to complete the out gas process. The case looks great and the color goes perfectly with our dining room table. Its sturdy and doesn't look like assembled furniture. I would recommend this product

Great quality. Easy to assemble. Totally thrilled with this bookshelf. It smells like fresh stain for a few days. It looks great in my office. Shelves are fixed.

I would have given the bookcase 5 stars, but for the overpowering and offensive smell. It is a sturdy, nice looking, easy to assemble bookcase, but the smell has made it such a disappointment. We aired it out in our garage for more than 2 weeks, left it out on our screened porch for a few more days, and while the smell has lessened, we still need to open a window in my son's room. I don't know if it's the stain that smells or what, but if HD could replace mine with a bookcase that doesn't smell, I'd be thrilled.

Ok so these are a bit expensive, but I think they were a good investment. These are really nice, solid book cases. The color is true and the shelves are sturdy. I had no trouble putting them together. They look great, not like flat pack at all so suitable for a living room. I am really glad I bought them.
