super thin
It’s going back. It’s so thin that it bubbles up and doesn’t have enough weight to lay flat on the floor. No grip to the back of it either.
Not true to color
Color was listed as cream so I was expecting a warm shade of white. It is actually a bright cool shade of white.
[Rewarded Review] Easy to clean, easy on the feet, easy on the eyes.
This rug seems to completely repel dirt. I have had it in my living room for three weeks waiting for one of my kids to spill something on it so I could throw it in the washing machine and demonstrate the cleanability. It just won't get dirty. Have no fear, I washed it anyway. I was worried that I might need an industrial washer like is found at a laundromat, but my home washing machine handled it just fine. I did get an "unbalanced load" code in the spin cycle. (If your machine doesn't throw a code and auto-shutdown in this situation, I would take it to a laundromat. An unballanced load can destroy a washing machine. Or just wash in the driveway with a hose.) I did not put the rug in the dryer, it was dry enough when I took it out of the washer.
[Rewarded Review] Be careful where you put this.
I don’t care for the color. In the picture it looks more tan. It’s got more of an orange tint. That aside, the corners roll up. I wanted it for a high traffic area on carpet. As you walk on it, it pushes into the carpet and moves around. With the corners already rolling up this is not a good high traffic rug. I did turn it upside down for several days hoping it would flatten out. I moved it to another spot where the rug was on laminate flooring. Then the rug would slide. The corners still weren’t flat. Definitely needs something to keep it from sliding.
[Rewarded Review] Jonathan Y Twyla 5 x 8 machine washable area rug Terra color
If you are in the market for a rug, specifically a 5 x 8 rug, this may be a good option for you. I was initially a bit disappointed with the color as it didn't look the same color as in the picture. The color , terra, I think should have been called terracotta as it is more pinkish. I would suggest, even if interested in buying online to go to see the rugs with your own eyes, if its available in store, to confirm the color is what you want. The backing has nothing to prevent it from sliding around on hardwood floor, but that can easily be fixed with anti-slip tape. The rug isn't very thick and is probably why it gives you the option to machine wash it, but I probably would not attempt it in my washing machine. I will feel better about cleaning it with our carpet cleaner. All and all, if you are in the market for a solid colored 5 x8 rug, this Jonathan Y Twyla classic solid low pile machine washable area rug may be worth checking out.
Wow! Horrible not what was expected
Horrible super Thin Rug. Useless and very cheap. Returning!
Worth the discount
I was worried to order a rug without reviews but it was 50% off and it’s washable. I needed a 8x10 on a budget (I have dogs… this is why we can’t have nice things *taylorswiftvoice) Honestly for the price it’s not bad. Shinier and lighter than I wanted it to be, but it came nicely wrapped and it does its job. I’m waiting to see how the wash will go, but again, for that price I can’t complain.
