Beautiful sink for the kitchen

The sink is beautiful and large enough to clean my largest pots and pans easily. I also use Karran mineral oil to maintain the sheen of the surface as recommended. I've only had the sink for a few weeks so I cannot report on it's durability. But no problems thus far.

Good Sink

Very pleased with the new white sink. It's easy to keep clean. The 9" sink depth is just right. However, had some minor issues. The under-cabinet clamps seemed to be poor quality. They did not match the picture in the instructions, and they could be pulled out of the sink locating grooves fairly easily, making them useless. Also, the sink has 9 provisions for the under-cabinet mounts that require cutting the countertop for clearance. I ended up not using the mounts at all, and installed the sink with silicone adhesive around the perimeter. I really like the sink bottom grid, but the rubber/plastic cushions aren't large enough and allow the grid to contact the sink in the two rear corners. I fabricated a couple of larger cushions. Overall, I'm satisfied with the product.

Description is misleading!

We thought this sink was a solid Quartz product. A plumber examined it recently & told us it is a ‘quartz composite’ meaning part plastic, soap will leave a film, no solutions, it will chip easily, solid quartz won’t do this. What use is a kitchen sink if you can’t use dish detergent, or sanitize it? We use two bottles of mineral oil a month. The white deposits are getting worse and harder to cover. Shame on Home Depot for selling such an inferior product and misleading us, don’t waste your money

Thick strong sink, beautiful appearance, sturdy bu

I remodeled my kitchen and knew I wanted a sleeker more modern look of a sleek black sink instead of the basic old stainless steel two bowl sinks. I spent ALOT of time researching types/brands, materials, reviews, visiting stores and websites. I’m extremely satisfied with my decision. The sink is so thick, strong, and heavy. A lot of the other brands complained about scratches, chipping edges, hard water spots, and dulling of color. I purchased a steel grate insert to avoid any damage to/from dishes.

What a beautiful transformation!

We replaced our old stainless double sink with this gorgeous single bowl Black Quartz sink by Karran! What a transformation! It is everything we hoped for and more! Note that the drain is in the middle but more toward the back of the sink, in case you are ordering a sink protector. The hole will be a little different. We ordered online for delivery to our home. The first one arrived damaged by the delivery company. We reordered and had the sink sent to our local Lowe's for curb-side pickup. That worked beautifully! No middlemen to toss it around! I recommend this sink without hesitation! It is beautiful!

Absolutely perfectly designed and priced!

I cannot get over how much I love this sink! I've seen reviews of the lighter colors, but I ordered and installed the gray, and it.is.perfect. I've used it for a week now, and there are NO scratches/stains, or even a hint of getting any. For the money, you just cannot beat it for material and craftsmanship. It is a 1000% improvement over that silly little stainless sink of old. It's solid as a rock, and totally changes the feel of my kitchen, which is for me, the most enjoyed and most important room in the house. Don't hesitate...it's worth every single penny.

Beautiful Sink

The undermounts that are on the underside of the sink were unfortunately too close to the edge of the sink for my existing sink hole. That's not something I originally considered, but thankfully I was able to manage with a jigsaw and angle grinder. Once the sink was fitted into the counter, I had a problem with one of the undermounts breaking off of the sink! I do not feel like I over tightened it, but whatever. Be careful! I found that the thickness of my counter was too thin for the size of the brackets, and I had to go buy some shims to get the sink properly clamped to the counter.

The best investment for your Kitchen!

The top drop style was perfect for us. It seems sturdier and gives peace of mind. The sink is sleek and DEEP. You can have a full sink without anyone knowing! The sink was easy to install. Simple instructions and cutouts made it quick to lay. Dont forget your 4/ea AA batteries to complete the steps! We love the auto water feature. Apart from that it is basically a plug and play. i should have opted to install myself. This was the best investment for the kitchen. It grabs attention and backs it up with function.

Hidden nightmare!

It's a beautiful sink. But that big lip around the outside edge is misleading. If you are purchasing this sink to replace an existing one, be aware that the hole in your countertop has to be bigger for this sink. The sink sit on only 1/2 inch of the outer lip. They molded in 8 holders for the hold down clamps which will require you to enlarge the opening in your counter top even though it is the same dimensions of your old sink. An easy job turned into a nightmare.

Sink

It is a good size sink, I purchased it because I was tired of the double stainless sink that nothing fit in and every time I dumped a pot of water it would splash out. I would have liked some samples of the material it was made from to be at Lowes so I could have seen what it actually looked like before purchasing. I also bought it because I had to replace the kitchen faucet and I didn’t want to do that and then replace the sink in a couple of years. We plan on replacing our cabinets and counter in the near future. After stating this I would like to say that I was able to put the new sink into the existing hole in our countertop but the hole was about an inch to close to the front of the cabinet so the sink is shoved back and there is a gap. This is because the cabinet is actually in the way of the sink that sits much farther down than the original. So if you are not going to replace your countertop take this in mind.

Beautiful sink, bounds of instillation flaws

We can’t speak to its function because it’s STILL being installed. Maybe it was our fault, but Karran doesn’t include any measurements with how big the actual sink hole needs to be. We had to drill down our granite to make it fit. The clips are an absolute nightmare. Even with following their template, there is still not enough room to install the clips. When trying to install, the sink chipped. It’s trash and being returned.

Good Sink, Great Plumbing Contractor

Plumber liked the sink as much as my wife. Clean installation except for the lack of slrainer assembly. In my past experiance the assembly came in the sink kit. Fortunatly the plumber had parts on his truck to over come this challange. An important aspect of a suscessful project is qualified, dependable, labor. We had an established relationship with his company and knew we could depend on them. I am finding many contractors are reluctant to stock inventory of this type and prefer to have the customer provide or pre-purchase items like kitchen sinks. Be aware of the trends in your local contracting market and chose a well known, qualified, licnesed vendor.

A Quality Product

We recently purchased this product to replace our old kitchen sink. Prior to purchasing the product, I called Karran to ask if it would be compatible with our 1970s cabinetry. I was able to speak to a representative of the company who was very helpful and assured me it would fit based on my measurements. I made the purchase online, and it arrived at my house the next day. It was carefully packaged to avoid damage, and came with hardware, template, and care instructions. I was able to install the sink myself quite easily. I wasn't so sure how black would look in our kitchen but it complements the black appliances quite nicely. The material is quite sturdy but not as cold or hard has solid stone would be. This reduces the chance of breakage when accidentally dropping a dish in the sink. The sink is easy to clean with dishsoap and a sponge, and I clean it once a week with Softscrub. It doesn't show grime, but it does show light surface scratches. These can be removed with a rub-out sponge. The finish is dull when dry, but it sparkles a bit when wet. It is possible to polish it with Luster Pro cleaning oil. Overall, I am very pleased with the quality of the product and the customer service I received. I recommend Karran.

Very nice sink

This sink is nicer than I expected. It came packaged very well. It comes with a stencil sheet to measure and cut the hole for new countertops, as well as clips to secure it to the countertop. I’m guessing my counter was too thin because the clips didn’t work for me, but honestly they’re not necessary. I used silicon sealant around the edges and dropped it straight into my existing hole. It’s heavy enough that after 24 hours of drying time it’s solid and won’t budge. I also knocked out one of the extra holes for an air gap. It was surprisingly simple, even though taking a screwdriver and hammer to your new sink is nerve wracking to say the least. The predrilled slug broke away cleanly though, and I just used a file to open the hole up evenly for the air gap.
