Don’t buy

Instructions say to set this grate at level. The problem is the water sits on top in puddles and then dries leaving ugly water marks. You have to squeegee every time. For this price we shouldn’t have to do daily maintenance. Called Schluter and they were less than helpful. If I knew ahead of time I might’ve asked my installer to install it on a tilt if possible. Or just not buy this version. Pic speaks for itself.

These drains look great on the surface. They are sleek and modern and appear to be a simple design. Once you take a shower, you'll realize that none of that is true. These were obviously designed by someone who has never cleaned a shower. This is not some minor inconvenience until the cleaning lady comes; it's disgusting on a daily basis. If you lift the cover/grate, the flanges that hold it in place not only provide even more corners and seams for drainage to accumulate, but hair gets tangled up in everything. As a result, the channel never dries, so mold and mildew grow very easily. I am very disappointed we spent so much money on these, but now we are stuck and there is no way out without tearing out the entire floor.

Box was opened prior to purchase

Product was clearly opened prior to my purchase. Bag was clearly cut open with scissors just in the upper corner and the hardware rolling around the box. However all the pieces were still there and the product in good condition. Still in good spirits and installed it. Thank you.
