Great butter dish, sturdy and stylish on my bench top. Thick glass and great price during the sale when I purchased.

Great quality dish

An alternative to plastic storage of butter. Perfect for storing blocks of butter in the fridge and stylish enough to serve at the dining table. The thick base has parallel ridges ensuring the block of butter stays securely in place. The embossed lid keeps the contents fresher for longer.

I would have thought kilner would have worked out how to produce a butter dish that had a better seal between the lid and base.the glass isn't flat.

A traditional glass butter dish

Made of a sturdy everyday glass construction,the correct size for half a pound of butter. It is completely dishwasher safe and can be used easily either way up. I prefer the larger portion as a lid. It is completely plastic free & I would say,traditional butter has less datives than the artificial buttery spreads.

I bought 2 of these and absolutely love them. They look classy for such an affordable price. I get compliments on them all the time.

Classic style, robust design

Great product - very robust and sturdy with a lovely, classic vibe. My one design critique would be that it needs indentations/handles on the sides for you to be able to pick up the lid, as the sides a very smooth and there’s a possibility of it slipping out of your hands.

Great butter dish

I absolutely love this new butter dish. The glass container keeps the butter fresh and easily accessible on the kitchen counter of the fridge. The design is simple and and a bit retro, and it's the perfect size for a standard stick of butter.

Buttery Delight

I love my Kilner Butter Dish. It’s a practical size, I can see how much butter is in it, it’s dishwasher safe, and it has practical raised lettering on the sides which make the lid easy and safe to lift. I also love the note of nostalgia as I seem to remember my great-grandmother had a very similar Kilner dish.

I bought it for entertaining and use it every day

I loved the look in the pictures and I wasn't disappointed. A nostalgic little piece from when people took time and table set up was important. I keep it in the fridge, filled with unsalted organic butter, because it's special, like good china or a glorious tiered cake plate, but I use it every day because life's too short.

Solid Dish

Have looked at many dishes over the last few months, this one won me over because of its transparency. Easy to see how much butter is left over in a glance, which is ideal given the weight of these butter dishes. Strong glass, nice design, fits a 250g block of butter easily. Recommend.

Simple and classic elegance

I was surprised how big and heavy/sturdy the butter dish was; its well made and will last for years. It fits a regular stick of butter just fine and doesnt show the butter smears so I really dont need to clean the inside or out all the time as I thought I would with a glass butter dish. Perfect!

Super Kilner.

Kilner has to be the number one in glass butter dish's. It is very heavy duty glass ware, the lid sits very snuggly in the base so there is no chance of knocking it off. it is a generous size and will hold a standard 250g block of butter or spread with room to spare. I had owned my previous Kilner Butter Dish for years until I broke it and it only broke because I dropped it on a stone tiled floor. Highly recommended. (The butter dish not dropping it!)

Why is it upside down?

Would give 5 stars however, I am a petty man, and after careful consideration I have concluded the lettering on the dish is clearly on the base rather than the lid. Naturally the heavier and larger part of the "butter dish" should be the base, however if done the lettering is upside down, and this has forced all the pictures of said dish to be upside down.
