hefty weight cotton blanket
It's a hefty weight blanket. And, the Queen size is true size. We used the blanket in unheated Northern California home in late August when temperature dropped to 60. It keep us warm, but not hot.
Bad Choice
As a long time Tommy Bahama customer, I was appalled by the quality of this blanket. It arrived with snags and tears, and pulled threads. In addition, it had black and brown stains. This is the first time this has ever happend. Very disappointed.
I love this blanket. I'm using it at our lakehouse and a bed cover in place of a comforter in the summer. It adds a rustic cabin look to the room. The blanket is perfect for slightly cool summer nights. I haven't washed it yet but don't anticipate any issues.
This cotton blanket is just as pretty in its coloring as I had hoped. The heavy weight of it was a real surprise, though! I think it must be washed in a commercial laundry mat when that time comes, which is ok, but I know my apartment-sized double decker washerdryer combo won’t be able to handle the weight of it. I am using it as a couch cover right now which is benefited by the heavier material, so no worries!
Not soft at all. I washed it on delicate and carefully dried it. It filled up the lint filter three times. Sadly when I retrieved it, it was not at all soft. The construction is single sided with the wrong side rather dull and a bulky hem all around. It would have been nicer if it were reversible and the edges were bound with twill fabric tape for a less bulky edge. It’s not a bad weight, though.
I love TB, but don’t expect threads to be an issue until now. This is the second TB blanket in a few months that has threads in disarray. This isn’t an “loose” one, but rather has already pulled out and it was literally just taken out of the package. Otherwise, it’s perfect.

Not as soft as I’d hoped. Heavier, thicker in weight than I wanted. Some threads already sticking out, and some randomly colored (purple, navy) fibers woven in, that I had to carefully pick out. Not good if you have cats, can easily get fiber pulls. Nice colors. I’m only keeping as it’s a pain to return. Wouldn’t buy it again.
Blanket arrived full of string snags woven incorrectly. Just a lot of basic imperfections and pulls. I’m using it under my main comforter so I’m not returning. However, it’s not high quality made blanket, I’m sorry to say.
My husband is in love with his new blanket. It is just the right weight for warmer Summer nights, not too heavy on his feet. Much nicer looking than the cotton waffle weave blankets. Washes and dries well. May end up buying another for our spare room bed.
