Reviews

The mirrors were well packaged and arrived unscathed. Install was ok. Not the easiest or the hardest. One thing to check - the hot and neutral wires to the outlet were reversed (in all three units - installed a single 24 inch unit in the guest bath) use an outlet checker to verify. Sort of wish that additional attachments were provided for the top and bottom of the mirrors. 60 inches is a long way to only secure at the sides. We drilled two holes in the top of the 24 inch mirrors under the connection panel and countersunk one in the bottom of the 12". This made them much more stable. My only real beef is the brightly glowing circle for on off . These are really bright and I have insomnia. No way to turn them off and leave the outlets on. Will have to look into that pretty quick - there has to be a way.

First ordering and receiving: . Experienced problems with suppler stating that it had been shipped when the carriers had no record. Ar three weeks, I contacted Houzz and they tried to contact supplier with no luck, and was ready to cancel the order and refund my money. I guess that the supplier contacted the shipper without contacting Houzz and my medicine cabinet was on its way. BTW I’m in California and this was during CORVID 19 so please recognize that. After I got a hold of the Houzz rep Jordy in Phoenix, she did some magic and got everything worked out by cancelling the stop order, and keeping it coming. A Big Thanks. . . Packaging was just excellent, and I don’t see how you could damage the medicine cabinets. Units come in 3 boxes on a pallet. Two of the 24”X 36” and one of the 12”X 36” cabinet. They are heavy, so after removal from box, took the mirrored doors off, the glass shelves off, and they are real manageable for one person . . Assembly: . Assembly is required which is no big thing. First you take the side mirrors off (installed for surface mount) where they connect together and use the attached hardware to connect. Even the three unites connected together (without doors) are not to heavy, but nice to have another person. Once you connect the cabinets, you can get the final rough in dimensions (for flush mount). This dimension is not given in any of the literature. For the assembly the rough in dimension for flush mount is 59 ¼ “X 35 ¼”. The outside dimension of the cabinet is 36”X 60” if you are doing a surface mount with the mirrored sides. . . Electrical: . If there is one weak area in the manuals it is electrical. With the three cabinets connected together you need to figure your wiring routing. I ran the supplied cable from one unit across the top of the middle unit and into the electrical cavity of the other unit. Did my connections there. As shown in the manual the electrical connections are at the top, under a cover of each cabinet. On one unit the cover came right off. On the other unit, the cover was just a little large and was tough getting out and resulted in some scratches to the inner surface. When putting it back together, I loosened the three screws at the corner and moved the side out slightly allowing the cover to slip in without further scratching. . . I had originally planned on having power on to the lighting, and switching the defogger. The manual said you could but gave no details on how to split up the wires for separate wiring. In the end, I have one switch which turns on the light and the defogger. This really makes more sense, since once you adjust the lighting for brightness it automatically goes back to that setting by just turning on the switch. . . Installation: . Depending on your situation, (in wall vs surface) will dictate. Either way, you hook up the wiring, mount it, put the doors on, and stand back and say wow they really look good!
