Beautiful at a reasonable price

Love that this medicine cabinet is mirrored inside and out. Very simple design so it doesn’t distract from other decorative elements in the bath. Shelves are adjustable and they are clear glass for easy cleaning. This product comes in different sizes. This is the second one I’ve purchased to replace utilitarian units with fixed plastic shelves which were very ugly. Super easy to install. Hinge can be on either side.

I live in a smaller/older home with a smaller bathroom. With the existing rough opening, it was hard to find a selection of different cabinets that would fit the space and not made of cheap plastic. This mirror is perfect for what we needed. Nice glass shelves (I've had trouble with big box stores having cabinets with plastic shelves that break) and all mirrored interior, as well. My only reason for knocking off a bit is the clips that hold the shelves don't fit the shelves well (they're supposed to slide into the clips) and the clips didn't insert into the pre-drilled holes well. But we were able to just set the shelves on top of the clips to remedy that issue. Overall, very nice cabinet for the price.

This medicine cabinet fit the current opening after some trimming. It fit perfect without cutting out drywall. It came with 2 tempered glass shelves. I like that the mirror is in the inside. I would definitely recommend this Kohler medicine cabinet!

I've been looking for a medicine cabinet to replace an old one. The trick was to find one to fit the current opening.

Overall the medicine cabinet is nice, but quality control could be better.

I have the same medicine cabinet in my other bathroom, but it was already installed when I purchased my home. I am so glad I went with the same medicine cabinet! It was a replacement for an old 90s version and it was fully assembled and so easy to install. I definitely recommend buying it.They even give you instructions on how to build out the frame, if needed.

Better than expected. It was such an easy install because it was the exact right size for the wall opening I had, which was not an easy size to match… the quality has been excellent. I have done some home updating recently, and this improvement was by far one of the easiest. I had been putting off getting a medicine cabinet for years because I was unsure of the size on most of the items listed online. This came packaged well. No issues in shipping. When I opened it, all the pieces were there. The install was 4 screws. Drilled 4 holes, put in 4 screws. Had someone hold it in place while it was being installed. It’s a 2 person job (for safety). It looks great from the start. Perfect. Installed the shelves. It works well. Looks great. Great quality item. Done and done. I wish all my other projects were this fast and easy. I really appreciated the feeling of accomplishment and the project being completed almost as fast as it started.

Mirror fell off

Although I bought this cabinet several years ago, two weeks ago the front mirror fell off and damaged my sink and toothbrush holder (see pics). I contacted Kohler customer service on 10/31 and spoke with Carmen about this issue. She said there is nothing that they would do for me. I explained to Carmen, with/without warranty this should not have happened. If I had been standing at my sink, I could had been injured. Also, Carmen did offer to replace the door, but at my expense. Very disappointed.

Front mirror fell off.

This is definitely a safety issue. The front mirror fell off by it self in the middle of the night when the double sided tape failed. Luckily the mirror stuck between plug and main mirror. I've installed two of these cabinets in our bathrooms in 2 years. The second one is still holding up but this is matter of time when it also fails. These cabinets are not cheap and made well except this strange and unreliable manufacturer's decision to mount the glass mirror using only double-sided tape.

This wasn't as nice as the $75 dollar unit I eventually installed. The back of the cabinet is wider that the part that is screwed into the studs. That alone made installation a mess. I had to make modifications to get it into the rough opening so now I'm stuck with it. Make sure you measure the back and the sides before you install it so you're sure it's the right choice.

Door swing issues

The cabinet itself is nice and sturdy. My main issue is that the door swings to 108 degrees which hits my mirror. It requires 5" clear space between the cabinet and the wall to avoid this, which is a large distance and would require reframing of existing studs. I can't find any Kholer products to be able to reduce the swing to 90 degrees. This seems like a design flaw to not allow for this basic flexibility.

I needed a new recessed medicine cabinet installed for a very small bathroom that had been built by a previous owner. The size was the problem. I was unable to find one small enough to replace the existing one and making a larger opening was not an option (I told you it was small!). I went to the Wayfair site and was able to find a Kohler cabinet that would fit with only a minor adjustment to the existing opening. The Kohler medicine cabinet is far more superior than the old one. It is metal, not plastic and the door is an unframed mirror. Also, the back of the cabinet and the inside of the door are mirrored. The shelves are glass, not plastic. I am extremely happy about my purchase. The availability of the required size and quality of the product, plus free timely shipping ,make Wayfair a terrific company to deal with.

Extrudes 1" From Wall

High quality, sharp looking, well made recessed medicine cabinet. Fits perfectly into recessed space to replace older, builder grade medicine cabinet. Just wish it could be manufactured with a slimmer profile so that the door sits flush to the wall. The entire cabinet fits perfectly in the wall cavity but the depth of the door itself extrudes 1" from the wall which makes it look bulkier than preferred. Unfortunately, all brands seem to be designed this way.

Hinges open too far and hit wall.

Not good for side of sink placement. We installed the cabinet in the wall in the side of the sink, there is a wall mirror behind the sink. When you open the cabinet it hits the wall mirror. The hinges open too far and have no ability to adjust how far it opens. It is also not slow closing so it bangs into the mirror/wall and bangs closed. We ended up damaging it when it came out and now it’s in the trash. We tried replacing it with Kohler slow closing hinges but the holes do not line up.

Very attractive medicine cabinet. It has a low profile that allows use in smaller bathrooms where many walls (and sometimes other mirrors) are very tight. The construction is aluminum with mirrored finishes on both the inside and outside so it does not look cheap from any angle. I used 3 of these in the upgrades to my bathrooms and they are a beautiful addition.

After a very long search for a bathroom cabinet that would fit my older condominium size, returning to local DIY stores and other online purchases, I found this perfect cabinet for all three of my bathrooms. It is the perfect size to fit in the existing hole, is well made and sturdy. It was a breeze to install and looks wonderful. Not overpowering, as I want my baths to speak with colors and style. This cabinet allows the decorative mirrors and fixtures to sing. The shelves are sturdy glass, and fit firmly in the holders. I'm very pleased. Thanks, Wayfair.

Meh. A bit disappointing. For the price paid and the brand name, I was expecting something a little more substantial. I installed it in the direction my old cabinet was, but I found the plastic covered hinge mechanism so cheap looking that I took it back out and flipped it around so that the hinges weren't the first thing that grabbed your eye entering the bathroom. A bit happier with it that way. Everything is mirrored on this cabinet so fingerprints will be a thing. Honestly, the only reason I kept it was because it fits the small size of the cabinet cutout. Out of all my Wayfair purchases, this is the first one I haven't been happy with.

High quality cabinet but beware of crappy shelf supports that don't fit

Our bathroom needed a new medicine cabinet as it still had the 1976 builder quality one in the wall. I removed it and measured the existing cutout. This one matched perfectly. I also liked that it could be used either as a right swing or left swing door. The installation was very easy - I removed the mirrored door first to make it lighter to install by myself. I used a bubble level to ensure I was fitting it square. Once it was in I installed the glass shelves - easy and then screwed the door back on. The difference is amazing - it's a very well made cabinet and matches the updated bathroom perfectly. I also like that the back of the cabinet has a mirrored surface so all the contents are easy to see. There's also a mirror on the inside of the door, in case you don't already have a bathroom mirror. If I had it to do all again I would choose this same cabinet.
