Handle detaches pretty quickly and can’t be fixed

Handle becomes loose over time (less than a year of daily use). It looks like you can screw it back in but the entire screw box works itself loose and cannot be tightened to the kettle. It has become a safety issue-we are afraid it will detach completely when lifting a hot kettle so we are discarding. Additionally, the whistle is too quiet (cant be heard from the next room) and does not work unless you push it closed (latch doesn’t lower it enough). It’s too bad because the size and colors are great.

This kettle is gorgeous and I honestly bought it for how it looks, but as far as functionality goes it’s not useful. Rusts inside after a few uses and becomes unsafe. Buy this only if you’re okay with having it only as decor.
