Whitehall deluxe mailbox package

Mailbox arrived ahead of expected arrival date, packaged very well. UPS delivered to my front door in 3 separate boxes. Mailbox is heavy and appears to very well made, with a nice magnetic closure on the door. We love the big size, the address plaques on each side, the decorative piece on the bottom of the post! I ordered the bronze color and it looks good with the stone on my house. We had someone install for us, so I can’t speak about the directions, but he had no trouble. I would highly recommend! Yes, it is a tad pricey, but my opinion is, I got what I paid for.

This mailbox looks amazing on my newly renovated house! It fits all the small packages I receive and looks classy! Love that the house number is on it too so that I didn't have to mount numbers on my newly sided home.

This is a prefect size mailbox. It holds small packages, large envelopes, regular mail and its secure. Love it! My second one. Highly recommended. Great look and easy to install.

This is a large and very durable mailbox. I purchased an earlier (non-locking) version for my home 25 years ago and it held up very well in all kinds of weather.

Mailbox looks beautiful in the photo and I’d very well made. With the exception of the address plate. Super heavy and manufacturer expects it to be secured not with screws (even though has holes for them), but with double sided tape. Tape doesn’t hold and now I overpaid for an incomplete item.

The mailbox is durable, looks great, and is a little bigger than your standard wall mounted mailbox. It is made well and the house number is the perfect size. You can easily see the address from the street. The installation wasn’t hard. We drilled it into stone so we needed a special drill bit but as long as you have a drill it was easy. The instructions were detailed. My husband and I are very happy with our purchase.

Nice but power tools necessary

I like the quality and look of this mailbox. I wish the description, however, would have noted that power tools are necessary to attach the front number plaque. Or better yet, the holes come predrilled. To me, "some assembly required" does not indicate an electric drill with metal bit is absolutely necessary. I either need to either buy a power drill and bits or hire someone to hang the mailbox. As much as I like the mailbox, I would not have purchased this product if I would have known that.

This same, look, box was on Signature Hardware website for $212 without the customized plate (it was extra). I took a shot to save money and can't be more pleased. The only thing that stopped a 5-star is 1) I have large hands and I could almost fit my hand in the slot of the lockable lid, so not sure my mail is any safer and 2) I wanted to screw the anchors tight so it would be difficult to lift the entire box off the wall. The only way to access the screws once it's hung to tighten is to remove the lid. An allen wrench is provided (in case you want to remove the locking portion), but the space to turn the wrench is so small that it took forever to get the two screws off and forever to get them back on. I dread taking it down when it's time to paint the house.

A house is not complete without a Whitehall Mailbox!

This is my second Whitehall mailbox. We installed a white one for our house several years ago, and it just looks so pretty. We just purchased a new home and the first thing I did was order a new mailbox with the house number and street name displayed. This one is in black to match the exterior lighting and hardware. It looks perfect. The quality of these products is substantial. They are easy enough to install, using the template that is included and having a drill with the proper sized bit. I would recommend to the company to add plastic concrete screw anchors to the little accessory pack that is sent with the boxes. We had some on hand so we used those. Treat yourself and decorate your home with one of these lovely boxes. It may be silly, but it makes me smile everytime I see it. It's just finished off the front of your home like a piece of jewelry.

A really Great Mailbox. I added two lines with street address and street name and it still looks great and doesn't change the sizing of the lettering. The plate comes packaged separate from the mailbox and comes with keys and mounting supplies with screws for the address plate as well. I ordered the White mailbox with Gold lettering. This is a really Big box and fits a lot of mail. It can be locked, although the slot should be a tad bit smaller....my child can fit her hand in without unlocking, but I would say an adult cannot unless you have really small hands. It's very nice and compliments the house, plus an added bonus if you have a new mail carrier, (having delivered mail before) it helps the mail man or women to get your mail and not your neighbors with more accurate address info(very useful to the postal service carrier). To add, I will be adding some more cushion around the lid as it has two at the corner, but not enough and makes a shutting sound (metal to metal)..no biggie an inexpensive fix. FYI, The lid slams shut and has no type of slow closure effect. All in all I would buy again, I haven't seen any mailboxes alike.
