The OXO Good Grips Silicone Basting Pastry Brush is an excellent, easy-to-use tool that evenly spreads sauces, oil, butter, and more. It's dishwasher safe, made of heat-resistant silicone, and BPA-free. Initially, I thought the angled brush would be harder to handle, but it's actually quite easy to use, and the angled design keeps the bristles off counters. Overall very durable and great value. Highly recommend!

I have used this for both sweet and savoury brushing. The brush works well and cleans easily and does not discolour (iv been using tumeric)

Essential for an Air Fryer

I bought this Basting Brush as part of a future gift, having previously given an Air Fryer as a Christmas Present. It is a handy size and being Oxo Good Grips I would expect it to last a long time, so although a bit pricey I have given a grade of Good Value for money. It will not however be used for Pastry as well as I feel Pastry Brushes should only be used for Pastry.

Excellent brush!

I bought this to replace a pastry brush from 40 years ago! Washes wonderfully and applied the egg wash without tearing my dough. Glad I made the change

OXO Good Grips Silicone Pasty Brush in Black

Works great and is easy to clean for general brushing but if you need it for something more delicate and precise, this is probably too big for that. Happy with purchase, got it on sale for $16.17.

Love the design change.

This handle is bent on an angle so the brush does not rest on the counter and get contaminated. Silicone bristles hold the sauce but handle heat up to 500 degrees. Great for grilling and basting.

Baking and kitchen-sized brush with a layer designed to hold sauce or glaze between the brush layers. Effective, easy to use and clean. Not for grilling basting tasks where you want to swab chicken or steaks. But egg-wash -- absolutely!

Hooray- dishwasher proof

This is my 2nd silicone pastry brush, and why 2nd? Because, hooray hooray, they're safe for the dishwasher! One in for washing, and one in use, or both ready to use. But, and it's a big but, this OXO good grips is a far superior design to my existing silicone pastry brush, it's just lovely to use. However, I'm hanging on to the 40 year old bristle brushes because they're useful for dusting icing sugar or cake gold and silver dust. Highly recommended and definitely worth the money.

I have several pastry brushes, and this is my go-to when I need to coat something in an egg wash. Those center rectangular center-hole "bristles" are really good at picking up and transfering liquids. I also love that it is dishwasher friendly!

Does nice job of spreading

Does nice job of spreading melted butter, etc. on top of baked breads and using for buttering phyllo dough when I make baklava - very easy using. Cleans up easily.

Fascinating design

The flat bristles in the middle of the brush do a good job picking up and spreading sauce when grilling. Very clever and helpful. I wish the bristles weren’t white, but they did clean up well when washed by hand with soap and water.

I am so happy to have found this brush! It spread glazes evenly without leaving any bristles behind. It is the solution that I have been sesarching for. I am ordering another one!

Great product

The silicone works well, seems more hygienic than the old style pastry brushes, should last longer too. I use it to coat vegetables and meat with olive oil. Great handle, easy to use…worth the money.

Stylish and hygienic

This is a great pastry brush. It's very handy for brushing food with olive oil before roasting, and unlike traditional brushes made from boar bristles, it won't get damaged when it comes into contact with hot oil.

Very pleased

I needed a second silicone pastry brush. It is good enough, and replaces a far inferior very soft silicone pastry brush which is pretty useless. But it is not as good as my John Lewis silicone pastry brush which is far superior. If JL made their silicone pastry brush in more colours other than the single colour grey, I would have preferred that.

Good brush but too big

Love the brush but it’s too big for my needs. You discontinued the old size with a shorter handle and narrower brush width. Please bring back the smaller size!

I have a few OXO products and they have stood the test of time. They are durable and long lasting.

Nice tool

Great brush and easy to use. It cleans up nice and feels good in the hand when using. Had other brand and this by far is the best brush I have purchased. As most of the utensils in our home are the OXO brand and this brush does what it suppose to bast without leaving too much on the brush.
