[Rewarded Review] Solid and real wood…

A little tricky to assemble… The instructions are fairly clear, and you must pay attention to the illustrations for proper alignment and board stacking assembly. Initially, it is recommended to lay out all of the boards and identify the screws and connectors. The wood is heavy, and good quality aside from a few knots and markings where it was not properly painted. The most difficult part was getting the screws to properly align with the pre-drilled holes, unfortunately like mini ready to assemble products the holes did not always line up. Assembly took close to an hour as I had to drill and realign some of the holes for the screws and had one of the boards that holds the pole upside down otherwise it’s a solid quality unit And will be best served for hanging garden lights or an extra umbrella. The only disappointment is there is no pole provided as the photo seems to indicate… only the pole sleeve and clamps. Would recommend if you like real wood.

[Rewarded Review] Get something different

Wooden Planter Box with Universal Pole Holder does not live up to expectations. Wood is poor quality and the paint/touch up job is horrible. Several spots on the wooden box were "touched" up with what appears to be a different shade or sheen of black. The wood probably had some sort of defect on it and they poorly filled it with some type of wood filler. The directions were striaghtforward and easy to under stand. I used a regular screw driver instead of power tools as the instructions suggested not to use power tools and it took a little longer than it should of.

[Rewarded Review] Love the idea but does not work with standard patio umbrellas

We got this for our patio in hopes of holding our patio umbrella vs the standard metal or plastic holder. Unfortunately the hole is too small for a regular patio umbrella. It does work for a smaller beach umbrella. The item arrived packaged well unfortunately it seems it was packaged before the pieces were dry. Upon separating the pieces the paint came off with it. Also the instructions on how to build it are not helpful and the pieces are not marked, so after some trial and error we were able to figure it out. Overall, I like the concept of the planter and will plant fall mums into it once the weather cools down next month. As far as an umbrella for summer, we may just use it as a flag holder or bird feeder, not quite sure yet.

[Rewarded Review] A nice looking planter box for patio or deck.

I was excited to get this for my wife as she wanted to hang her led lights across our deck. The picture shows with a pole but it did not come with a pole only the pole holder sleeve for inside the box (which is why only 3 stars along with below assembly issue) by showing a picture with the pole I assumed it came with one. I discovered you can purchase this with the pole or a seperate pole set but it is cost prohibitive.

[Rewarded Review] Pretty nice planter

This planter box purchased to how compliment the corner of our deck. We'd like to get a second one to get light poles installed to hang our string lights. Putting together was not super simple as I had to take it apart at one point because I miss understood the parts and their sequence of assembly. Once together tightening the faults at the top was a little difficult because there's nothing to hold to at the bottom to keep it from spinning so it doesn't get super tight. Also the top bolts rusted right away as you can see in the picture. Hopefully this doesn't just break down at some point. You really can't put flowers all the way around because there's a support across the middle which holds the pole holder. I've decided that it still looks pretty nice it's not very large but this is exactly what we were looking for.

[Rewarded Review] Versatile Planter Box

We like the ease of assembly, functionality, and appearance of the planter. Assembly was easy and took less than 20 minutes. The planter box is heavy and sturdy so it will work well for many applications in the home. My wife already plans to use it for seasonal accents like the christmas tree in the picture. The tree was very easy to insert into the pole holder and you can hand tighten the bolts to secure the pole. We would recommend adding additional weight (sand bags?) in the box if you plan to insert something heavy like an umbrella. The picture of the planter was a bit misleading because it appears that the light string is included. It isn't but that doesn't take away from this planter box.

[Rewarded Review] Light weight but does require assembly

I was surprised that it didnt come as four sides ready to put together but was individual slats. It didnt take long to put together but it was not easy. Some of the slats had stuck together, the holes didnt quite align during assembly, and one of the top bolts will not grab so it is elevated. It is made of a stained very light-weight wood (?). This makes it easy to move but I am not sure of its longevity. I havent planted anything yet ...trying to decide whether to remove the pole slat and have a large planter or to do a vine.

[Rewarded Review] Clean modern esthetic

This is a stunning planter. It is large, sturdy and modern in design. I have not yet utilized the aspect that allows an umbrella. I look forward to using a pile in the center to have a vine like planting in the center. It was relatively simple to put the together- it took less than 20 minutes. I love the clean esthetic. It has a rustic yet modern feel. I put four pots of mums in for a temporary fall planting and it is lovely.

[Rewarded Review] Stained Birch? Pole not included.

A light weight wood of some sort, stained flat black, I'm thinking a coat of varnish would improve the look and add extra protection from weather on the outside. The inside would be better either with varnish or a liner. Assembly was fairly straight forward with good instructions. The planter has a support for a pole of anywhere from 1/2 inch to about 1 3/4 inches. Without the pole support structure, a larger plant could be used. Otherwise, flowers planted around the pole would look very nice, as well as a climbing plant that could wrap around the pole. Several of these on the patio or around the pool would look great!

[Rewarded Review] Clever design

I ordered this black wooden planter box to be placed on our patio. It's really easy to assemble and it's sturdy when it's put together. The finish looks like a black stain rather than paint which will probably be less of a maintenance issue than paint would be. There were some flaws in the finish, light spots, but I was able to reverse the panels so that the flaws were on the inside of the planter box.

[Rewarded Review] 18” Planter w/ pole sleeve

Although this Planer looked good once fully assembled; Assembly of this planter was way more difficult than it needed to be: All of the planks were stuck together, which caused some of the coating to come off when pried apart. This planter did not come with the pole, however as you can see from the photos I improvised and added a Solar light on a pole; Adding stone or brick in the planter is a must to keep it in place. I added some flowers to finish it off. It looks amazing

[Rewarded Review] Great product

This planter box is large and very easy tobput together. Aolid wood aside from pole holder. Just put togther bottom, slide the side boards onto the posts, add the cross board that holds the pole holder, tighten down with the supplied allen wrench and its pretty solid. Directions state tobplace rocks in bottom to weigh it down or keep it from tipping and then your soil for plants. This could also be used for a flagpole, and artificial Christmas tree or whatever elae can fit the pole holder. The pole holder has adjustable screws to tighten down whatever you place in it. Overall, a great product.

[Rewarded Review] Beautiful Deck Decor

The product came neatly and securely packed. I laid out all the pieces to make sure they were all there. The assembly instructions were easy to understand and follow. The planter box was complete within 15 minutes. I forgot to put the rubber feet on, so I had to remove the metal rods and put them back in. The planter is exactly what I hoped it would be. It is made of wood and very attractive. The light pole sleeve is metal and mounts through the box. It doesn't come with the light pole which I think will be cool when I find one for climbing vines and to light up the porch. I haven't planted any plants in it yet because I'm still undecided if I should plant Summer or or wait and plant Fall plants. The picture shows plants but i just put them in for the photo. This is going to be a beautiful addition to our deck décor.

[Rewarded Review] LOVELY!

First and foremost I did not realize how truly lovely this was until I put it together. It is better than I had hoped and actually is very roomy to plant some flowers along each side of the pole. Very easy to put together and looks amazing when all complete. Cant wait to run over and grab some soil and put some down into it and plant some flowers. I have not decided if I am going to do a light pole or if I am going to put an umbrella, but either way I am so pleasantly surprised. Its very well made, has slots for drainage, and even has little rubber stopper like on the bottom of it.

[Rewarded Review] great

My wife loves this planter box and now she has 2 of them , the only thing is that this one did not come with the 10ft. pole which I will have to try and find and then we are going to put them both outside and hang some solar lights or a strand of electical lights from them,It took us about 5 to 9 minutes to put it together and now to find lights and the 10 ft. pole. Thank You Home Depot and Excello Global Products.

[Rewarded Review] Sturdy, Easy Assembly

Packaged well for shipping. Assembly instructions were clear and easy to follow. It's sturdy and looks good at a glance but the paint/stain is easily scratched and assembly could be a little tighter. Holds our deck umbrella securely but we will need to add weight below any plants which is expected. Overall and looks good on our deck and should last a while.

[Rewarded Review] Unique design and i love it.... for vegetables.

Ive never seen a planter design like this one, i really like it, no cage needed, just tie your plant to center post, cucumber or tomato perfect for this planter. I have to say that assembly was harder than i thought, predrilled holes are not clean , takes a little time to assemble. Otherwise i like the thickness of the boards and love the center accommodating a pole to tie vegetable plant to it. The 14 inch by 14 inch planter looks strong enough to last for years. Ill get many a cucumber from this planter and i highly recommend this product.
