The fire screen is very fragile. The minute I set it in front of fireplace , it shattered. I followed the instructions exactly like they stated. I will never purchase a glass screen again.Rhino

Well built, looks good, installed within 30 min

This installed pretty easily. The doors seem sturdy. It came with a 3 sided riser spacer that we did not need, but it came squeezed in/damaged so it would have been questionable if we could have used it. It would be nice to have damper holes in this because we cannot keep the doors open or smoke will come into our house.

Selected this Pleasant Hearth Glass Fireplace Screen to replace a 20 year old metal and glass fire enclosure. The hardest part of the change was taking the old screen out to the trash. The Fireplace screen comes half way assembled. All you have to do is attach the legs to the base.There are leveling holes on one side of each leg and you may need to reverse the leg depending on how un level your hearth is. After putting it in place I was amazed athe difference.You can see all the fire. and thwe solid one pice glass transmits lots more heat. So glad I found this wonderful addition to my fireplace

It’s almost totally invisible You can’t even tell us there except for the stand that the glass stands on, and the knobs to move it around. It radiates to heat as much as if there was a fireplace gate in its place instead, but looks totally much better. The kit comes with all the parts necessary to put it together and it’s packed in a flat box. We are really glad we got this and we’re very happy with it, we are waiting for winter!

This glass fire screen really modernized our fireplace. I love the shine off of the glass too, it makes the room feel a little bit classy. The fireplace screen was easy to put together and level on our hearth. The size is perfect for our small fireplace. The glass screen measures 38 inches wide by 27 3/4 inches tall (measuring from the bottom of the feet to the top of the glass). I feel like the shiny glass help our small room feel a little larger too! Iove it!

This is a nice glass fireplace screen, but you would be well-advised to take the "measure twice, cut once approach." It's a little wider than I need and not quite tall enough, but perhaps I have a non-standard fireplace opening, and that's no reflection on the quality of the product. It includes two easy-to-install feet and the set screws and hex key you'll need to attach them.

My wife and I were looking for a glass fireplace screen to protect our gas fireplace which seems kind of odd at first glance. We have a new puppy that is very curious and she kept wanting to put her nose up against the fireplace for whatever reason so we had to quit using it. We were able to place this Pleasant Hearth glass fireplace screen directly in front of our gas fireplace and now we can use the fireplace again without the risk of her burning her nose.

The Pleasant Hearth Large Glass Fireplace Screen is an updated approach for protecting your home and loved ones from errant sparks. The sleek design “disappears” as it is one large, thick solid slab of clear glass. Two bronze (approximately 1” each) serve as “handles” to assist in placing the screen. Smooth highly functional yet sleek bronze “feet” serve to secure the glass upright. The feet are secured with small disappearing screws with rubber tips to prevent the glass from sliding. [Rewarded Review] Great Looking Screen

I was not so sure how this would look. My wife had reservations about it as well. We had a wrought iron black fireplace screen before this that looked fine. This is a pretty heavy glass screen that is very easy to assemble. The knobs on each end were already on the screen. All you have to do is add the feet to each side. The glass is inserted into the groove on each foot and held in place with a felt tipped set screw. Very easy to assemble and it really looks great. The old screen has now been retired. I can’t say enough how good this looks.

The thick glass sheet weighs approximately 30 pounds has two screwed in round handles at top and two brackets at bottom both of which have two threaded holes one to attach the glass pane and two in bottom of bracket for leveling. The problem is the connection points from bracket to glass panel pitch the glass forward causing it to angle in brackets throwing the whole unit out of balance by a full bubble. Upper handles install easily with a cross tip screw driver. I’m sure that over tight bracket screws could be a problem for the glass integrity but the tips that contact glass panel are slightly padded. The bottom of the brackets have padded disks on them.

Attractive for price, finish is matte black

I like this more than the picture. The top nub looking things are actually small cabinet type knobs that you can move the screen with. They are quite functional and somewhat attractive. I took a star off because one of screws holes thar secures the glass to the door is not drilled properly. I would need to order another foot for the glass to be more sturdy but takes time and I may not as we don’t have small children who will mess with it. Also, for me it is a minus that upper knobs came pre-assembled and could not be removed. I was banking on not using them as they instructions had said that part was assembly required. They came permanently affixed which could be a plus for others who want the knobs.

Just what I wanted

This fireplace screen is well made and looks so pretty. It fits very well. We have a standard size fireplace opening. Installed easily (however, my husband is very skilled with tools, so that helps) in about an hour.
