Excellent! I upgraded my knob because I use my Le Creuset Dutch oven in the oven a lot!

Good quality knob but poor customer service

The knob arrived quickly, fits well and looks good. I noticed that it's already a bit tarnished after just one use, but I can live with that given it seems it will last for a long time. Unrelated to the quality of the knob is the lack of response from the service department which never answered my question prior to purchase. I took a chance and bought the knob anyway and was fortunate that it was the right one, but I was disappointed that their 'promise to answer' my email didn't come through.

An upgrade for my old casseroles

My three Le Creuset casseroles are about 30 years old and have the old black knobs. Recently one of the knobs broke as I was removing the lid, so I decided in the interests of safety to replace all three. A JL special offer on all Le Creuset products took the sting out of the cost. They look very smart and although I was worried that, being steel, they would get very hot, in fact they don't, presumably because they are hollow.

My review is more of a question to Le Creuset: Why did I have to buy this separately from my dutch oven? It should have come with a stainless knob, not something made of plastic that can melt. What's up with that?

We replaced our old original

We replaced our old original knob for our vintage LC Dutch oven that we had refurbished a while back. With the replacement knob, it looks brand new!

Looks way better than my old black knob. Love the quality and the look. It really updated the look of my older Le Creuset pot. Love that they sell this on its own. Screws on and off. Bought a spare too.

I had the smaller stainless

I had the smaller stainless steel knobs; however, aesthetically they looked horrible. The larger knobs look better and are easier to lift up the lids.

Great shipping of products.

Product arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I was a little concerned at first about shipping an expensive heavy Dutch oven from Toronto to Vancouver, however, there were no problems at all. I was impressed by the peanut packaging made from wheat starch. They dissolve in water, a great choice for the environment. Also impressed by the regular follow up emails regarding my purchase and the progress reports on the shipping. Great job. I am very happy with my purchase.

Coordinates perfectly with Caribbean

It's gorgeous! I put it on my Le Creuset Caribbean blue 7 qt pot and it matches perfectly. It's just as sturdy as the original knob.

It's a knob

Well, it's just a knob. I bought it for the lid of my Le Creuset pot that had a black plasticky one, so I could dunk the pot in the oven without having to worry about the temperature. Very easy to attach (a single screw you could tighten with a coin it you wanted). Overpriced for what it is, of course, but getting it in the sale took the sting off.

stainless steel replacement handle

I purchased a new bread book and was really excited to make bread in our dutch oven for the first time. Our dutch oven had never been used in the oven and lets just say even though its meant to go in the oven, the original black handle made my whole house smell like burnt plastic.

Overly aggressive packing materials

I was surprised at the volume of shipping materials. Two knobs were shipped in a fairly large cardboard box with many plastic air pockets. The knobs could have been shipped in a padded envelope.

Perfect replacement

Bought this to replace the same-size knob on an enameled Dutch oven that I had tarnished by using extreme heat (bread baking). Super easy to put on with the screw and will last a longer time now that I’ve bought the designated Le Creuset bread oven for higher temps.

Quick update!

Very pleased with this new handle, it has updated my 30 year old Le Creuset casserole dish and extended its life for another 30 years, hopefully. The original handle was made of a different substance and seemed to crack too easily. Hopefully this one will withstand the heat of my aga.

Opportunity for fulfillment improvements

Product is great. Only disappointment was in the packaging: this little knob in its Le Creuset plastic that was about 2.5 x 5" and flat other than where it bubbled out for the knob itself, arrived in a C&B box that was literally 6" x 9.75" x 12.5" with bubble wrap inside. I understand that many C&B items are much bigger but this was shameful from an environmental standpoint.
